Note that the member you are responding to lives in Thailand, but for some reason thinks that they can apply for DCF in Germany.

I live in thailand and my husband is active duty he can do DCF in germany for me , he got approved by The U.S consulate frankfurt by email that they accept a Form I-130 filed by a qualified U.S. military service member for any immediate relative case. And has given us instructions for the i-130 form

U can ask friends or relatives from US to send you a check. But as for me, my husband came there first so he already had a bank account set up there and brought back the check to Germany when he got back to Germany. You can also try to ask from your German bank. You have to contact your German bank account for that

And then you mail a check with the first package to the consulate right?

Does the US embassy in frankfurt know that you are in thailand? Because they can actually say that you can send in your I-130 but only then will they know that you live in Thailand and not in Germany. So it could be in vain.

After they approve your request by email, they will give you instructions and an address to mail the first packet to. You will need to send the approval email with the first packet.

Hi i mailed my docs to the embassy by dhl and it says The recipient has a post office box. The item has been ready for pick-up since 07.03.2022. Does that mean they have received my docs?
thanks

If Frankfurt approves your petition, where do you expect to have your medical and interview?

Okay! Good luck. It seems like military service members do not have the same requirements. I hope your I-130 is approved soon and you do not have any issues.

Hi there

I am in a similar situation to the woman from Thailand. I am an American/Eu Citizen with registration in Germany(not military). My wife is Bosnian and is currently in Bosnia. I emailed the embassy and they said I could apply for direct filing and i would need a registration certificate showing that i live in germany but nowhere it says that my wife ALSO has to be living in Germany. She has a 10 year multiple entry Schenguen Visa so, coming to do her Medical and Interview will not be a problem.

My question is , is it written anywhere that BOTH the applicant and the spouse must live in the jurisdiction of the embassy? Since the embassy only asked for MY registration cert in germany and not my wifes im a little hesitant.

Danke /Thank you

That sounds promising. But during my interview they searched for my german residence permit. Or maybe you can show them a schengen visa during your interview

this makes sense. Now, interesting they  only required me to have a registration certificate which is only a formality doc you get at the town hall when you register at a new address. this should be no problem to get for my wife as well. maybe i should just ask the embassy...
