Hi everyone,

My wife just had her interview last tue 1/12 and did not past the test. Her appplication was BEFORE the dec deadline and she had the 2008 ver of the test. We were to told to wait for the next interview date within 90 days. We are wondering if the next interview will be base on the 2008 ver or the new one. Also, will the answers to the questions change...such as who is the current president, congressman

thanks

What if I fail the naturalization test?
Applicants are given two opportunities to pass the naturalization test. If you fail any part of the naturalization test at your first interview, you will be retested only on the portion of the test that you failed, between 60 and 90 days from the date of your initial interview.

Note: If you fail the 2020 version of the civics test at your initial interview appointment, you will take the 2020 version of the civics test again at your second appointment. If you fail the 2008 version of the civics test at your initial appointment, you will take the 2008 version of the civics test again at your second appointment.

Of course the answers must reflect the current president, senator, governor etc. Good luck. She can download the app from USCIS to practice questions on her phone/tablet.

The test you get is based on the filing date of the N400. So she will still get the old, 2008, test. Of course she will have to give up to date answers on president, representatives etc - the booklet as I recall actually tells you to check for changes in these before the test.
