Hi everyone! My father is the joint sponsor for my husband. He applied as a household member (i864a) because i was staying with at my parents place at that time. But i am no longer living with him. My latest w2 will reflect a different address. We are already documentarily qualified. Will this change in my address lead to a delay? Will we be asked for more information and get a new DQ date? And in this case will it push back our interview date? Thanks!! And help would be incredibly appreciated!!

If your father qualifies to sponsor based on his own income, you need to remove all your affidavit of support uploads and submit new ones, with you as the sponsor and your father as the joint sponsor.  It should have been done this way from the beginning.

If he does not qualify on his own, then he is no longer your household member, so still new forms and supporting documents but you'll need a qualified joint sponsor.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

Hi Pushbrk! Thank you for your response! We originally filed with the i864 form for a joint sponsor. But, probably because we both listed the same address at the time, we got an information request from the ceac asking us to change my father to a household member and upload a i864a instead. Currently we both qualify individually..but at the time of filing i did not qualify on my own. So, basically we changed him from a joint sponsor to a household member at the request of the ceac. We were subsequently documentarily qualified. I do not plan to intimate the NVC of my change of address at this time as recommended by my lawyer. But my question is now, what impact will my change of address have on the case? Will we get an entirely new dq date and be pushed to the end of the queue because of this when my husband attends his interview? I don't think they will see the change before that. However, at the time of the interview he will need to carry my most recent w2 which will have my current address. That is probably when this discrepancy will come to light. Not sure how to handle this? Should he carry a filled out i864 to his interview to submit if questioned?

The impact is that your father will no longer qualify as your joint sponsor.  Do as I suggested.  New affidavits and documentation.
