I do, as someone who's spent much of his life around immigrants, and tons of illegals, I've had to live around the mess created by those who don't care whatsoever about it. And if you cared about the US, "morally", you'd not be favoring turning the US into the disaster these people left/fled. Because that is the inevitable result of people not assimilating to the place they move to, which is precisely why the US doesn't just allow anyone in for whatever reasons they prefer, nor allow people to follow only the laws they morally agree with. The US doesn't have to allow a single immigrant if it so chooses.

People thinking like you have the right to vote for people that will represent them. I think differently and I donate to politicians I agree with and, when I get my US citizenship, I'm planning on voting for politicians that support immigrants, both legal and illegal.

And if the idea that you can disregard classes of laws that don't have your moral stamp of approval prevents you from getting citizenship (which you aren't owed), what then?

So how do you explain to people looking at 20 years plus to do it legally that if they just walk in they can be US Citizens never mind PR's in a fraction of the time?

I'm not sure you understand. I disagree with these laws, so I want to change them. Not disregard them

Pretty sure those people who would be given amnesty have waited for a long time to be given that amnesty.

Yeah well I support politicians that support legal immigrants as does my wife and many other naturalized citizens we know. Why would you support a politicians who supports illegals over following the rule of law?

The purpose of immigration, and laws, isn't to bring in people who want to change our laws to eliminate that choice at the behest of foreigners.

I am not advising anyone to break the law. Personally, I think breaking immigration laws is unwise. I still support amnesty for illegal immigrants, especially those brought here as children.

The difference with that is that I fully support the DACA crowd especially since they are mostly around my age. I fully support allowing them to become full permanent residents with a pathway to citizenship as long as that they have petitioned for and been approved for DACA. If you are illegal now and not DACA then it is not my fault that you are illegal. What would you say to those people that came AFTER DACA?

Change them to what exactly, allowing everyone to come here?

Some obvious will, and back to this thread some have just started their journey.

I support amnesty for them, too, especially those that came as minors.
