It does not expire at all as long as you maintain your green card and it’s not otherwise revoked.

It's been 1 years and 7 months still waiting for my Gc but all apply for Citizenship this fall cause seems nothing is moving 🤷‍♀️

Nothing much you can really do, depends on the local office it can take up to 8 weeks to schedule an oath, hopefully you'll get it soon

I GOT SCHEDULED FOR MY CITIZENSHIP INTERVIEW. I’m waiting to get the letter in the mail to know which date the interview will be. And it still says 13 months lol.

Edit: to reiterate, I’m in the Denver area and I applied using the five-year rule. Did not get my green card through marriage.

Congrats! Open the site on a laptop or desktop, not phone and look at the documents tab. You will have your interview letter their already.

Also it says this on my notice:

”You MUST BRING the following with you to the interview:
• This letter.
• Your Alien Registration Card ("green card").
• Any evidence of Selective Service Registration.
• Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States.”

The notice says nothing about bringing my tax returns for the past five years, which I’ve been told could be important. Should I bring those anyway? Like I said I’m not the spouse of a US citizen but I’ve been told it’s still important. The problem is that I’ve been trying to get my 2016 return transcript from the IRS to no avail. I mailed them the necessary forms a couple of time but got nothing. And now I only have about a month until the interview.

I know it’s off-topic so apologies for the side track.

At the minimum bring what is listed on the letter. If you want, you can take additional documents. It is unlikely they will ask for it.

They literally didn't ask to see any of the documents I brought. Only my green card.

I brought 4 years of tax transcripts from the IRS website and then 2016 tax return.

Better to be safe than sorry, but I just thought I'd share that for peace of mind.
