My status moved from 11 months to 10 months. Yay!!! 👱‍♂️

Don't know how long..

You'll notice it will change every 1st of the month by one more month. See my signature below. Every 1st of the month, they update everyone's estimated time frame to one month less. I suppose it helps lower phone traffic. If people perceive progress, then they are more apt to wait. But I like it. I don't know what it is. I know it doesn't technically mean much (other than the initial time frame they gave), but I like counting down (as you can tell from all the tickers in my signature).

Advanced congrats. What is your NOA date?

Do you mean the NOA he received for the 2 yr green card extension? That expires Jan 17 2022. We still haven't received any notification in the mail or on email about the interview. The NOA receipt notice for the N400 was April 24th 2021. It sounded like the N400 citizenship is the one that is moving forward and the I-751 will just tag along most likely at the interview.

My interview was scheduled on 10/29 at 1pm. Does not state anything about my I-751. Will call to double check… who should I call? My local office or customer service?

We called USCIS on Monday August 30th and after only 56min (was supposed to be 77, so not complaining), a super helpful guy came on the line, he said:

For the I-751 10 yr greencard I see an officer has opened it and looked at it on August 26, beyond that I don't know

For the N-400 citizenship I see an officer has opened it and looked at it on August 26 and .......(dramatic pause)...... requested an interview!!!!!

Woohoo he said we won't be notified for another 2-3wks and that the interview would most likely be in 2-3 months and he has no idea if it will be both or just one.

We had planned for one of us to fly to Macedonia to bring his mom back for a visit, but since we don't when the interview is we don't want to risk buying tickets.... we will wait till next year.

Finally some sort of movement!!! Hope everyone else gets movement soon too

How did you get through? They keep disconnecting the line after I ask to speak to rep or say technical support.

Say info pass, always worked for me, and congratulation for your interview, you are almost there.

Managed to get through but unsure if I got the right information. I got scheduled for my N400 and heard nothing from my I-751. The lady explained that I’m being interviewed for citizenship and if I need to know anything about the I-751 they will tell me then. Is this right?!

I raised a service request and for I751 and  requested a call from a tier 2 officer, got a call back she said it is not guaranteed to have both interviews at the same time, I then asked if I can request my file to be sent to my local office and she said doesn't work this way ,cause my file supposed to be in the service centre as well as the field office ( didn't know what is that mean)!!  one week later I got a notice in the mail with my I 751 interview date and time same as N400 which was scheduled earlier, so am assuming that the service request and speaking to a tier 2 officer did trigger the interview scheduling.

How did you raise a service request?

Anytime during the call/chat you can request it.

You can also always ask to talk to the supervisor (not Karen style, but:

"I understand that your options are limited, I would like to discuss my case with your supervisor, hopefully they have more options available)

Just spoke with a helpful rep and she stated that if I just have my citizenship interview then that will remain pending until my I-751 comes up. 😒 my tier 1 request went in and I have to wait 30 days for a call. You think you pass one hurdle then another one appears!!

I had the same problem for ages, either the automated voice would just continue and then say thank you and hang up or I would be disconnected. Someone on here recommended asking for an interview, only real people can make appointments, so I say "interview" and then say "citizenship interview" or something like that. The person who answers never actually expects you to be scheduling anything.

Still no update on the website or a letter or anything. I guess opening it and requesting an interview doesn't make it any faster, maybe they have messenger snails or something

I managed to get through but I was classed as non urgent so was told I have to wait 30 days for an officer to get in touch.

So frustrating. It's been almost 3 weeks since the officer told me an interview was requested and it would take 2-3wks to get a notification and then 2-3mths to get an appointment. We had planned for one of us to go in the next 2 months to get his mom from Macedonia for a visit but since they might need both of us (me for the I-751) we can't make any plans until we have dates.

That sucks. I got my notification for citizenship but no interview for I-751. My extension runs out next month and DL in December. So back to square one again. Hopefully it’ll fall into place. Never a straight road is it?!
