F4 - Changing Embassy - Pakistan to UAE

Hi,

Is it advisable to change the interview location? Mine is right now Islamabad, but I reside in Dubai, UAE. I was thinking of moving it to UAE, but I'm being told it increases the wait time or may further delay. Even though my DQ is of Dec 23, 2020, and with the current ban, I believe the delay would already be there. Can this time be used to transfer cases? Or it's not advisable at all to get into this adventure?

Thanks,

HF

Do you permanently reside in UAE? What is your priority date? It is possible that it may yet be another 2-3 years before you interview, depending what the backlog turns out to be after interviews restart. If you are sure you will be in UAE until your interview/for the foreseeable future, I see no harm in moving the interview location.  If it may only be a year or two that you are still to he in UAE then I would not move it as you may have to move it back again, and that could cause delays at that stage.

I am in UAE since last 9 years and I do not see any change in the plan until relocation to USA but in an expat country nobody can say anything on the duration as its linked with the job. My priority date is July 12, 2007
