Spouse new last name and filling out forms I-485, Etc.

She's here, we got married, we got license....NOW the forms  We're filling out the I-485, I-765, and I-131....do we put her new last name on these forms or will that cause an issue? Does she have to keep her Maiden name through this whole process and then at the end we change everything like through SSA, etc?

She should enter the name she intends to use post marriage, her name as she wants the Green card to reflect.  If she is changing her name after marriage, then use it on the forms.  The marriage certificate is a legal name change source.

As mentioned above, the marriage certificate is a legal name change document. My wife and I kept her name the same to make forms and everything easier ( No need to change passport, state ID, SS card, name on bank account, credit cards, etc.) But do what you want to do, other than mentioning her maiden name as another name used on most of the documents it isn't that difficult on the I-485 forms, it is all the other things you have to update besides immigration.

Same here.  It's entirely a personal choice....

When i started looking at the documents i was wondering, "what if i put her new last name on this form and some how it gets denied because of it or last name change would have to take place after all of this"

Thank you! Since she doesn't have any of the above (minus the passport), i figured at the very least we can just keep her last name throughout the process and at the end just submit name change for passport and SS card.
