there are allot of nice people..you see people helping others change tires etc..the bad is more noticed...

Exactly, The negative things seem to always stick in peoples mind. The media in general focus mainly on negative stories all the time.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I felt like crying, that was so sweet, Things like that give us home for Humanity. I would try to recomend him for employee of the month. I hope also he was off and not on his work schedule otherwise he could get into trouble, but With a heart like that God will always protect that gentleman.

He was leaving the store after shopping. I saw him at the check out in front of me. I am thinking about writing a letter to our local paper.

What a great story. Thanks for sharing. Yes, unfortunately these stories aren't shared often enough. I think they happen, but definitely the media focuses on the negative stories. I always feel lucky to work in a high school where I see random acts of kindness all the time, which is nice because so many people think teenagers are the devil incarnate :P

That is a good story and I commend the man..........BRAVO!!

I do have one thought in the back of my head though. The way corporate America is, I can see this guy getting in trouble with the Corporate office for "potentially" creating a problem with this whole act of kindness. some corporate dipstick saying that he has exposed the company to some BS if your not happy with the fridge blaming the guy who acted out of the kindness of his heart, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Dose that make any sense?? I read in the paper/online every week about some good samaritan who get the short end of the stick for from their employer for being a nice guy.

Don't be to quick to give the human race another chance. He's coming back to burgularize you! Is your insurance up to date? Hehehehehe!!! Just kidding... That was really nice and sometimes great things do really happen to wonderful people. I wish that we would hear and read more about these things in the news/media...

Nice story, Gary, thank you for sharing.

I have always wished that there was more focus on good news stories like this rather than the fearful stories that always seem to make the media. There are a lot of nice people out there and given the chance, I do believe that more people would respond with generosity and kindness if they weren't worried about an unexpected backlash. I think the more recognition these individuals get, the better off it is for all of us.

We had a recent incident here in Atlanta where two women saw a man with his head down on his steering wheel stopped along the interstate. They stopped to see if he needed help and then realized he was having a seizure. His vehicle was still in drive with his feet on boththe accelerator and the brake and there was smoke coming out from the vehicle. They turned the vehicle off but by that time it was on fire. They tried to pull the man out on their own but he was too heavy. A car with two men in it saw what was happening and stopped to help. Together they pulled him out and they literally just got him to the side of their cars when his exploded in a ball of flames. The man has recovered but it is only because these two ladies stopped to see if he needed help that he is still alive and not burned to death in the car.

Are you familiar with the book and movie "Pay It Forward"? Where I used to live in Canada a local organization invited the author as a guest speaker and proclaimed that week "Pay It Forward" week. The community took it very much to heart and random acts of kindness abounded. What was especially nice is that they didn't stop at the end of the week but continued on. It became almost second nature for people to start doing the little things that made life easier for someone else and responding to the thanks with 'You're welcome; pay it forward  ". Chatham-Kent has since declared itself a "Pay It Forward" community.

I went to get money out of the ATM the other day and requested $60.00 but it only gave me $40.00. There was a young guy waiting not too far behind me and I casually said " it shorted me $20.00!". I went into the bank and told the teller. They were going to go back out and recount the money but I was late for an appt. They said they would credit the account after it was counted.

On my way out the same young guy was pulling back in to the bank. He said "Ma'am I think I got your money by accident. He had received $20.00 more when he got money out. We walked into the bank together and told the teller what had happened. He showed them the money. What an honest person! I thanked him several times and we left. It makes you feel good to know that there are still good people in the world!

Hell, I'd be extra nice too if a government, despite public outcry to the contrary, was working so hard to grant me amnesty, after breaking it's immigration laws (in which my illegal ####### should be deported). Hello!!!
