If his wife really doesn't know who the father of her child is, that's a big problem.

Well he said it could be him or someone else. They will probably make him do CRBA since he is on the BC. Which he should have completed the previous one.

Yes, he would have been wise to complete the first CRBA, but they'll have a record of the initial denial and DNA request.  Being on the birth certificate after the fact is customary, so not fraud.  The discussion is about what to do now, which is get the DNA test and follow the applicable process based on the results.

Sort of assuming there are approved places that are Consulate friendly to do the DNA? Is that true?

Yes, but that is something to Google.  US Consulate Manila, DNA test facility

Hi all,  Interview was today, I was not allowed in the bldg. at all.  My wife was first called to a window w/ a very nice Filipina woman who, after asking a few questions, made the determination that the Child is my Step Daughter. She asked why we chose not to follow through with the 2012 CRBA. My wife answered ""at the time my husband chose not to go through w/ DNA testing" She then asked my wife if I was aware that I may not be the father, to which she answered "Yes". She was told to take a seat and wait to be called for her interview. She was called to appear at "window 60" where the only question asked regarding a child was "Do you or your husband have any other children than the child being petitioned?". She answered No, and after a few questions about how I intended to re-establish Domicile in the states, he told her that the IR1 + 2 visas are approved, kept the 2 passports, and said the visas will be ready for p/u in up to 4 wks. Of course, I am very happy w/ the outcome, and thank all who replied.

Thank You, and best wishes to you and your Wife / Step-Daughter.

Question for you.  I'm assuming that, like me, to start the process, you filed an I-130 for your wife and a separate I-130 for your daughter.  And that your wife and daughter went to the interview together.  Edit:  Also assuming they did the medical together??

At what point in the process did you know that they were linked and would have the medical and interview together?  Did you or your wife do anything to make that happen?

Hi Seeking, Correct, I did separate I-130's, but mailed them in the same envelope. I knew they were linked together when we received the I-130 approval certs in the mail on the same day, which included instructions on how to proceed online w/ the form DS 260 and Affidavit of Support.  Bottom line is, they will go through the process together, as each of I-130's asked if you were petitioning anyone else. So your wife's 130 listed your Daughter, and your Daughter's 130 listed your wife. That's how they put it together. Hope this helps.

Yes, I saw that linkage in the I-130 and also in some of my documentation I included with the I-130, I mentioned the link.  Some here on VJ indicated I might have to get them linked at some point.

I submitted the I-130s online within minutes of each other.  9 days later my step-daughter had an update:  Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.  6 weeks after that, my wife has not had any activity.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm not worried at all.  I don't want the interviews until 2022.  I'm just trying to stay on top of things.

Thank you!

And, Yes, they did the physical together. Also note that while everything will be scheduled/done together, each will receive separate emails regarding each step. Those emails will arrive simultaneously for both.
