Using second approved visa

Hello,

I have two petitions approved and got visa number for both. I attended interview for the first one, all docs were ok but now stuck with AP for few months. Given the long time in AP I'm thinking of using my second approved visa and pay the fees for NVC processing. I wonder if anybody has gone through the same situation,  advise please!

For what purpose?  You could easily get stuck in AP for the 2nd one.

They have all of your approved petitions so there is nothing can get your AP faster.

AP is usually specific to the person rather than the visa type, do you know why you are in AP?

Not sure if the AP is specific to the visa type or the person. I believe, if the visa type is more favourable would make the decision easier to issue the visa

I thought employment based visas have different potentials and the AP could be visa specific

It could be visa specific, but unless you know that it is, it’s just a guess. If you don’t know why you are on AP and it has been some months, and you haven’t received any specific request for more information, chances are it is personal issue (normally background/security related for this length of time)
