Probably something to do with the "do as I say" mentality of the Denver mayor as he was jetting off for Turkey Day.  Btw, looking at CO, it appears new cases peaked even before Thanksgiving, so apparently there was not a huge rush of new cases from the Holidays.  I am not sure how shut-down CO is right now, but MI is only about a week behind in its new cases peak and we are still fairly shutdown.

  I agree and I think we discussed that in the past. That would be specific to Denver and a single politician. Boiler referred to Colorado and I believe at a state level, policy has been fairly consistent with how it is influenced. Transmission numbers have decreased which decreases the threat level and allows more things to operate at normal levels or higher capacity. There are other factors in the decision, such as hospital capacity, which often trails the number of infections by a few weeks.

There seems to have been a lot of pressure from the Ski resorts, I was in Breckenridge a week or so ago and it was packed, saw that traffic numbers are only slightly down on normal, very different to last year.

 

Certainly the Short Term Rentals near me are busy, now Hotels I do not know.

Isn’t that what we saw the last four years, and even longer?  I believe it is called partisan politics.

  I didn't realize you were a politician. Carry on then.

 

  I think the general trend in most states has been to open up more as transmission rates, case numbers and hospitalizations decrease, and vice versa.

Nope, I moved out of CA in 2018 for a number of reasons and I most definitely won't be moving back anytime soon.
