Hello, I hope my question finds you well :)

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how long after the documents are approved by NVC do we get scheduled for an interview?

With Covid everything is different and im worried this could take a while.

Thank you

It depends on your consulate's workload and operating parameters.  This is the sequence of events after DQ:

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case the enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

When you hit the word portal above ,  you will note that Morocco has upcoming 4 K1 and 1 CR1 interviews scheduled /  that is posted on right hand side of the portal page.

you are in for a long wait as there is a long line ahead of you waiting for their intevrviews from the ones that were cancelled last spring or have been dq this past summer and fall

you need to create a timeline on your profile page for the VJ community to best answer any questions / any questions at all

that helps VJ and u

no one here can actually tell you how long your wait will be as we have no idea how many have applied from Morocco for immigration to US

so,  at this time you need to wait and the USC needs to send you all the supporting documents like copy of I 864 and tax returns .   prepare for the interview by knowing everything about your USC spouse and having an idea of what you will do in the US if your visa is approved.   like will you work or study/  CO may ask this question as it is an important one for Casa embassy

also noted that the Chinese vaccine they are giving out in Morocco is not as effected as the other vaccines and Morroco covid cases are rising and you could face another city to city lockdown

This was in 2019, but I believe after NVC approved our case, we got an email two weeks later with the interview scheduled. The interview was 3 weeks from the time we received the email. This was in Guangzhou.

Thank you Ramon, i hope it's the same for Casablanca
