Fingers crossed they get through all of September next batch. I’m 9/21 and don’t know if I could handle another month of waiting. Really thought they would’ve got to the beginning of September yesterday

I am beginning to feel the excitement & anxiety lol

Hey everyone, I’m starting to book my flight and hotel stay in Montreal. Just wondering if anybody who has gone recently has any hotel suggestions? I was thinking about the Sheraton.

I am super confused about when my husband comes to the US from Canada by vehicle.
His interview is this month and Ive read some things that say if he is coming with his truck he has to import it and some things that talk about doing so after a year?
Not sure what the rule is and if its on one of the gov websites I am overlooking it somehow.

Since its a new tax year I realize We have to take the new tax forms and w2’s to the interview but do we have to fill out the Aos again and have our joint sponsor fill out a new aos for this year?

That is encouraging. I'm re-reading some old posts and noticed you stated the exact date the consulate received your medical. How do you know the exact date? Did the consulate email you regarding this?

Hi! No I got an email from Medysis.

Might not be for you since you are looking at the Sheraton but might help others?

I stayed at Best Western Plus Montreal Downtown-Hotel Europa, $160 for 2 nights, I think it was one of the best cost vs convenience.  It's a 2 minute walk to the consulate, depending on your legs.

If you are ubering it was about $38 to get to the hotel at 6pm, and $32 to get to the airport at 6am (tips not included).

I don't stay in a ton of hotels, so my review is it was ok. The building felt old, and odd, the hallways are narrow and the rooms are small, might be common for older inner city buildings? Room felt clean enough, besides the heater which had a thick layer of dust in the grills.

There is a Cora's inside for breakfast/lunch, it was good, I got a french toast topped with bananas and salted caramel to destress after the interview. Though you could just go there from any hotel so I'm not sure if it's a plus.

The "Additional Applicants" list is showing the petitioner (i.e. the US citizen spouse)... I cannot imagine the US citizen spouse would need to go to the interview, do they? Thanks and sorry if this has already been answered somewhere.

Additional applicants intending to immigrate, as you’d stated before. Your spouse is a USC and isn’t immigrating. It’s intended more for those immigrating with dependents.

Not necessarily true. I am a Canadian PR (not citizen) and got approved today. You have to upload PR card copy to CEAC and bring it to the interview as they will ask for it with original documents. Also bring a photocopy just in case.

Great, thanks!! Uploaded PR Card Copy to CEAC.

I stayed there too! I was there for four nights and it was a total of 400 dollars. Not lavish but I've stayed in a lot worse. I quite liked my room and thought it was actually very spacious. Would reccommend if you're on a budget

We also stayed at the same Best Western but only stayed one night as we drove in the day before from Toronto and left the next day after the interview. Our room was clean and no issues except Cora’s was closed because of the lockdown, we were there end of Jan. Literally a 2 minute walk to the consulate, just around the corner. I would recommend it...Very close and inexpensive..

Ours took about 3 days before we could register. It’s very frustrating waiting but just give it time.
