EDIT just saw the RCMP update. This still doesn't conclude to me if my current one is still valid.

Valid until expiry, which has been discussed in at least one of these 2 monster threads...

Cheers!

Yes they did. I forgot to mention that. They also gave me a welcome to American letter. He also kept reassuring me that everything else looks good.

Hey - I was issued the 221g due to delayed medical, back in January.... but they did NOT give me the welcome to america letter.  So I feel the fact that you got the letter is a good sign!  (Interview was Jan 11 and got my passport back Feb 1)

If the cut off is mid month do you think next month will be the same? We are DQ 9/19 and it would suck to have to wait 2 more months. Lower application volume probably will play a role. Waiting in suspense!!!

I’m DQ 10/16 and there are only a few people on the list between us- really hoping the drop off is real and we both get in next month. I had 4 months of delays at NVC so I’m feeling really salty I’m not in this batch because I should’ve had a July DQ ):<

Honestly the number of DQ'ed people seems to really taper off after September, so unless there's lots of people missing from the sheet, you shouldn't have to wait too long.

I really hope this is reflective even a little 🙏

For any sponsors that file jointly, you will need their W-2s in addition to their tax transcripts, since the tax transcripts don't differentiate between income of the two individuals who are filing jointly.

If your sponsor makes enough on his own, then you just need the tax transcript for his and his wife's joint filing, and then his W-2s (I'm assuming you already have the AoS completed with his info).

I told y'all - I knew as soon as I opened the thread today and there were 5 new pages that interview letters had been sent!

Yes thanks. So i don't need the Aos of his wife just his because he makes enough right? Our interview is April 28th so it got approved by nvc without hers but I saw a comment on another site that you need both of theirs

I'm planning my travel for my interview in April. :) How long would you say your appointment took? Trying to decide if I can fly out that same day to save on another hotel night. Thanks!

I was in and out within an hour but some people take about 90 minutes.  I flew in a couple days early and flew out the same day as my appointment.  It isn't that far to the airport from downtown.

Have the US spouse call USCIS (they will only speak to the US spouse) tomorrow and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep (they can actually look into the details of your case while tier 1 reps can basically only see the same as we see when we check our case status). You may have to call a few times to get someone willing to put you in the tier 2 call line (they'll call you back instead of putting you on hold), but being out of normal processing is a good reason to have your case escalated to tier 2. Our case was stuck in background checks for a few months and it turns out the issue was that their system never updated when the results of our background check were received so our case would have sat indefinitely and we never would have figured it out if my husband wasn't insistent with a tier 2 rep that they should look into our case. I'm not saying that's what's happening in your case (I have yet to come across someone who had the same issue) but calling them can help get a case unstuck if it is a system error holding it up. If it is actually waiting on background checks nothing will speed it up including an expedite.

Hi- Thank you for taking the time to read and share your suggestion, I did that today! I was so happy because after fighting with Emma, I spoked with an agent and asked to be transferred to a tier 2 to which she refused and with nothing else in my mind I tried to make an expedite request, I mean I had to do something... I Can never talk to them lol! After almost 5 minutes waiting on the line she said my request to expedite wasn’t possible because I am not the Petitioner, SO she proceeded to have a TIER 2 AGENT call me back within 2 weeks! Great!

Well I mean 2 weeks are not great but its better than nothing these days!

That is encouraging. I'm re-reading some old posts and noticed you stated the exact date the consulate received your medical. How do you know the exact date? Did the consulate email you regarding this?
