Right but for the first time when your husband will travel with you, won't he be asked for the green card at the airport? How will he receive his card here in Canada? Also, congratulations...so glad everything went well for you. :)

Thanks..we’re almost there! We will be driving across the border when we move and when his green card arrives at our US address we will have a family member there send it to us next day courier so he will have it.

I'm in Toronto. I actually opted to pick up the visa at a post office rather than have it delivered to my house, since in my area many of the streets have different but nearly identical names, so every so often our mail ends up at someone else's address. Just didn't want to chance it with such an important document. So my passport was mailed via Canada Post Xpresspost directly to a post office.

Oh man, that's what I should've done. Definitely faster than Purolator.

Last question I hope.... I had my interview on Friday and the officer told me he was going to approve my VISA.

I have read the FAQ and logged into my CEAC account to see if anything was updated but I don’t see anywhere that says anything about case status, just where my application is currently at (Montreal). Is it something obvious i am missing? Any help is appreciated.  Thank you

Feb 8 - Interview with approval

Feb 8 - CEAC status says "Issued" with "Necessary administrative processing" note

Feb 11 - CEAC status says "Issued" with "Final processing" note

Feb 12 - Received tracking number

Feb 16 - Visa in hand 🙂

Planning to do POE at Pearson next week.

This is fantastic! Thanks for the timeline.

Try https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

That's the link I used to check my status post-interview.

What’s everyone’s typical delay for their medical to be sent? Did mine in Montreal on the 9th and still no email that it was sent to the consulate. I’m going to call tomorrow as it’ll be 6 business days. Maybe I’m becoming impatient but all the delays we’ve all been though.

thanks.

Hey, I did mine on 9th too in Montreal. Got my email yesterday. I called them in the morning to make sure if they any further info. They confirmed everything is good and then got the email after couple of hours.

Just spoke to them. They said it’s in their priority list and they had not received their blood results from the lab yet. Good thing I decided to get my medical done ASAP. Unreal.

Mine was similarly delivered 7 days following my interview (Feb 1 interview; visa in hand Feb 8 ) and I’m in BC. I also opted to have mine delivered to the post office.

Ahhh, I was debating if I should just send it to the post office or deliver it to my home. Not bad timing though. I already paid for them to deliver to my house so let's see if I can change that. My interview isn't till next week so I can figure that out.

Thank you!!

Hey guys... Question for whoever can help. I am preparing the binder for my husband's interview next month. I have a bit of a situation with my u.s. naturalization certificate. Long story short, I lost my original u.s. naturalization certificate a few years ago. huh I know it's crazy. We had the photocopy of the certificate though which we used for the approval last year at USCIS and NVC. And I applied for the replacement naturalization certificate in the meantime for the interview. I received my replacement naturalization certificate last year and my name, dob , everything is correct. except for the city. It is showing as Condord instead of Concord. Do you think this could be a big deal for the consulate for my husband's visa?

Thanks for any help. I wish I had noticed this earlier...but now I don't even have time to go back to USCIS. It took me 6 months to receive the replacement certificate :(

Hey guys, my husband had an interview today in Montreal. The interview went well, but at the end the officer told him that he is putting his case on additional processing. The officer told him that it will take approximately two weeks and took my husband’s passport . Does anyone had the same situation?

This is strange ...can you please remove my name from your message? As it's confusing....

Was he given a 221(g) letter, or a welcome to the US letter? It doesn't sound as thought the CO said "denied." Were the medical exam results received?
