You just called the 1-855 number to book the appointment?  I was trying to register as well and noticed AB was missing as well.

I called +1 (888) 522-7758 and then she ended up connecting me to the delta BC lifelab location on the phone. Keep the address on you when you call

Please note that the LifeLabs location used for Dr Cheema's blood test is the Delta location at 201-8425 120 Street, Delta, BC, *not* the LifeLabs at *any* different address on 120 Street whether it says it's Surrey or Delta. This can be confusing since there is a LifeLabs like 50m away from Dr Cheema's office, but the one he uses is at the address I give here, which is 12 blocks away and technically in Delta, not Surrey.  I'm looking right at the confirmation email for my appointment to verify this address.

It's a bit weird if you're from out of town because the distinction between Surrey and Delta is a bit arbitrary at points haha.  Just make sure if you book an appointment that it's at the 201-8425 120 Street, Delta, BC location.

I had my medical today with Dr Cheema in Surrey. Things went smooth, nice safe office, and the doctor was really good. I have a medical history 😛 so it took a little while extra, but not too long.

Important note about the blood test at LifeLabs: there are signs at the lab saying that they're appointment-only now. If you're booking a medical with Dr Cheema you'll definitely want to go to LifeLabs' site and schedule an appointment for 1.5-2 hours after your exam. I had already scheduled mine for 2 hours after my exam so I was totally OK.

X-Ray place isn't really obvious from the street so rely on a map app. You have to park behind the building -- it says it's pay parking, but the machine gives you an option for "1 HOUR - FREE". X-ray place was fun fast and easy. Well, fast and easy.

Now it's hoping my results make it to Montreal by next Wednesday. I would have booked the medical earlier but I was in the US when I got my IL, then stayed 2 more days for my stepson's birthday, then quarantine until yesterday.

Do you also need to schedule the Xray in advance or is it even possible? Thanks for posting this info!

Did you call to get an appointment if so did they told you how long you have to wait to have an appointment?

I called about the appointment last Friday (a week ago), didn’t hear anything back (they took my name and number down and said they would call back to make an apt), so I called today to check because I thought they lost my name and number. He said I should hear early next week about the apt but I just got a call back. Seems like wait time to schedule the appointment is longer than it takes to get the apt because they had as early as Tuesday for appointments

I had 26 days to sort out flights, accommodation and medical from the time I received my interview letter.  It was me and my 2 kids, so logistics were even more challenging.

This is important to keep in mind in covid times with the quarantine rules constantly changing.

Can you 2 please fill out your VJ timelines?

Also, please check out the FAQ's - the link is in @Hawk Riders signature.  Tons of information there.

So I crossed the border 8 weeks ago, still haven’t received my ssn card yet. As I had already call in the last couple of weeks, I decided to call again this week. The women I talked to didn’t seem to case at all. Saying that I need to qualify for specific guideline in order to be given an appointment. I decided to tell her, you know what, can I speak to a supervisor. I talked with a supervisor which she was super nice and very helpful. She asked me to come in this morning and then she said that I should finally receive my ssn card within 7-10 days.

So happy for you! I crossed a day before you and had similar experience calling in. I finally had my appointment and am waiting for my SSN in the mail now too

Can someone point me to a news source or updates on the restrictions in Montreal? They list all the locations and what's going on, but it's all in French and I don't know what location Montreal would be considered. I just want to know if there are like even coffee shops open or anything. Also I feel like this would be a super helpful thing to add to the FAQ

My apologies if this is no longer true, but it is what I was told on Dec 11 when I called.  It's possible they were closed Monday January 4th only.

Yep, the only reason I went into AP was because of my delayed medical.  The officer told me "okay so everything is in order with the exception of the medical, which we have not received".

I was quoted the following timelines :   "Once we receive the medical, we will review it within one week,  and then you can expect to see your passport back 2-3 weeks after that" .. So technically, I received my passport back faster than I was expecting!

I called today and  was told the only day the panel doctor is in to take appointments is Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Thanks for the info! Very helpful! I can only hope that mine comes back as quickly, as I decided to just go with a Wednesday appointment with my interview being two days later on the Friday.

Yes. But I have not paid the fees yet.

If the I130 case is already associated with your profile you should be able to update contact information. If it isn't, choose the option to add a paper filed case and verify your personal information...

Anyone able to offer advice for Dr Cheema medical question? I noticed the note "You should look to see if they have any appointments available (through the lifelabs website) about 60-90 minutes after your appointment with Dr. Cheema. If they do not, it is recommended to use the save my spot feature so you can be moving forward in line while at Dr. Cheema’s and the X-Ray place. "

We have a medical appointment with Dr Cheema at 8am, and scheduled a Lifelab appointment 2 hours later for 10:05am. Do people also schedule their x-ray appt in advance? Or just show up with Dr Cheemas requisition form?

Lastly, does the x-ray place offer a save my spot feature? Thank you

Congratulations to everybody on receiving their IL! It really seems that things are moving quickly. My question is if there is a general pattern as to when the IL letters get sent out. I remember someone on here saying the IL go out on the 3rd week of each month but it seems like so many people got them first week of Feb. Does that mean that this is it for this month

So, we've decided to try to reschedule my appointment and if that fails, apply for AOS.  My interview was scheduled for March 1st.  Even if we were in Canada (I'm here on an R-class i-129) it would still be incredibly difficult to get everything done in a 3.25 weeks... childcare, travel, drs apts, etc during a pandemic... not to mention the cost.  Please note that on my piece of the database and I will update my timeline too.
