Welp, just tried calling them and just got "all customer service reps are busy, try later" and then got booted. Wouldn't even put me in the queue. 😕

Me too! It’s a pre recorded message that I doubt will change anytime soon… wow

Literally every time my wife and I have called, we have had to call RIGHT when they open. And I mean like- have it to the last menu option and hit it right after 8:00:01. Even then the wait has been 40 minutes to 2 hours. And that's right when the lines open.

Given that there are half a million IV applications awaiting interview right now and that being the only number for NVC IV applicants, I think you're right. :(

No IL's in London today either. I'm wondering if something is going on at the NVC or DoS just decided to write off June without telling anyone. idk.

So friggin' done with this. x.x

Out of curiosity, where you do see to confirm if ILs are issued in London?

If we don't see ILs coming out by tomorrow at either Montreal nor London, there might be something happening at NVC.

Here, although there's far less activity on that thread than ours. I imagine because fewer of them are waiting. And yeah, I'm wondering too if there's something going on at the NVC. Would be helpful to see if anyone's been getting DQ'ed in May 2021 yet, or whether anyone else at any other Consulate has had an IL this month.

I've been scouting around the forums and while it's kinda hard to piece together information, as of yet, I cannot see anyone in any part of the planet has been scheduled for CR/IR interviews in June. I think K-1s are moving though.

Did NVC go on strike?

They've had that for years (at least they had it when we were going through the NVC in 2019). You just have to call a bunch of times before you're let into the queue. I think I would call about 10 times in a row each time I needed to call them before I made it into the hold queue (which was usually an hour long).

quick reminder - in Jan it looks like ILs came out on the 18th....it's late, but we're not out yet :)

Yeah, I've been thinking it's likely tomorrow or we're gonna be waiting until June for the next batch unless the Consulate is writing off the first week of interviews. After tomorrow there is less than two weeks notice and that just isn't enough time for applicants to get ready...honestly 14 days is pushing it imo. xD

Dunno about you guys, but I'm gonna be moving heaven and earth to get to that interview, even if I have to walk all the way from BC...okay, maybe I'm underestimating the size of Canada, but you get my point. :P

On the k1 interview doc the interview dates beyond today are May 21, June 18and June 28. I don’t know what’s filling up the other 40 some days? So irritating

Judging by their patterns over the past few months, they've typically only scheduled one day for weeks with a holiday but, more often than not, they just skip the whole week. I would assume they're skipping the whole week. Why not. Also I keep hearing 'but in January it was the 18th'- there was 38 days between Dec IL and Jan IL, all with a holiday break. Today is day 38 with no news from the consulate. As of today, it's officially the longest we have had to wait for information since they fully shut down and we had to wait for the reopen. We are anxious and tense because we are not being communicated with. I've called NVC, the consulate, the visa scheduling centre, the embassy in Ottawa- I was only able to talk to one person and she hung up on me if anyone took my call at all.

Also- the email I sent to NVC two weeks ago got 'responded' to yesterday with a canned response that answered none of my questions. I responded but I think it puts me back in the queue so there's literally nothing to do but wait. It's making me sick- I can't eat or sleep...

Jan batch was released on 18th and the interview was as early as Feb 1st, giving literally only 2 weeks.

Come on Montreal consulate!!!!

is anyone here based in the US? what if they give 2 weeks notice and you have to quarantine and don't have time to do the medical? is it just tough or are there exemptions?

It's a 'tough' I'm afraid, you'd need to reschedule for a new appointment. If you're in the US and expecting an IL, I would advise returning as soon as possible.
