FYI

This is crazy! She is obviously the usc and they are saying she can’t go to her consulate with her husband? I would imagine her governor or senator would love to hear about this!!

Hi! Has anyone recently received an interview date? We got an update saying everything is approved and they’ll schedule an interview on Montreal but there’s no updates yet and we’re getting worried. How long does it usually take after everything is approved ?

thank you!

I'm at day 236 of waiting for an interview date...should be any day now(tm)

Aw:( wait sorry 236 days since you were approved ?

It has been 236 days since I got the 'Documentary Qualified' notice from NVC that all my documents were approved and I was queued for an interview at the Montreal Consulate. Yes, the wait really is that long. -.- You may want to look at interviewing at a different consulate if you have Nationality outside of Canada, or any other eligibility that allows you to do so.

Oh gosh. I'm so sorry to break it to you but you've found Montreal Consulate Purgatory.

Most of us here have our DQ as far back as September 2020. Settle in. Grab a hot cocoa and an ativan. It's gunna be a bumpy ride 😞

The last time I called, they were pretty insistent that they had no power over the consulate. The consulate is like this micro-nation that no one has any power over and it's totally insulated.

I would call but it doesn't seem worth the long distance minutes to be told there's nothing I can do 😞 If anyone is in the US tho and has the time, feel free to be the vessel of my despair and channel my suffocating sadness as best you can.

Just ask them if Montreal didnt give slots or took the slots back etc. Sometimes a nice officer comes along who is chatty and gives more details.... Please folks, who are DQed, please try!

Welp, just tried calling them and just got "all customer service reps are busy, try later" and then got booted. Wouldn't even put me in the queue. 😕
