It is 5 am in Alberta and the IL related stress has already kicked in ! 😅

I haven’t been able to sleep, even though I’m losing hope- I just need to see someone get something. Anything.

No it’s the same. They just bumped up very few adoptions. If some one is adopting an older kid they don’t want them to have to wait till they are aged out of the system and bumped into another class or the child is taken out of foster care. I can agree 100% with that.

That’s super fair and I’m glad they’re making sure wait times don’t ruin even more lives.

I don’t know about any of you guys but I’m feeling really broken this morning.

I'm so broken. I am legit looking up log cabins to buy so I can be a hermit while this plays out. I seriously am going to go live in the woods with a husky. I am so done. Screw CCP, screw immigration, screw this pandemic.

With my wife here in Montreal for her interview and we're approved!!

The appointment was for 8am and I was going to go wait outside around 9:30 but she was back and done by 9am so it was actually less than an hour for her! We are so very thankful and appreciate this forum for the plethora of information and support we found here. Questions were in line with what everyone else has posted and she said the PO was very nice and understanding.

This started back in Sept. 2nd of 2018, DQ'd Sept 2nd 2020, Approved May 17th 2021

Congrats!

Guys, can someone please call NVC and ask them what is going on? They are much more responsive than USCIS, so you will get an informative response. If the first operator doesnt provide informative response, please request to speak to a supervisor. They will definitely be able to share details on what is going on, why no IL for Montreal yet. Please guys, can someone call?

The last time I called, they were pretty insistent that they had no power over the consulate. The consulate is like this micro-nation that no one has any power over and it's totally insulated.

I would call but it doesn't seem worth the long distance minutes to be told there's nothing I can do 😞 If anyone is in the US tho and has the time, feel free to be the vessel of my despair and channel my suffocating sadness as best you can.
