I wouldn’t hold out hope, but the work day isn’t over so it’s not impossible. But it looks like we are most likely to get a horrible weekend full of anxiety and restlessness.

This is pretty darn evil if that holds true. :(

Why hasn't Montreal given interview dates today? Is the COVID bad in Quebec? I thought 40% of Canada had at least first dose of vaccine so we were doing pretty good? Anyone know what is going on? I am so nervous

No idea. Montreal is doing better than many parts of Canada in respect to Covid.

I did mention earlier that the London Embassy has yet to send out IL's this month either, the people over there are thinking Monday sooo reasonable to think it might be the same for us too.

Ooooor the people at the Montreal Consulate are reading through our thread and enjoying our suffering, sure feels like that sometimes. :C

So I emailed NVC like two weeks ago and got the canned “you are now documentarily qualified” email in response instead of an answer to my question- but I did notice in their canned response they mentioned that interviews are “scheduled one month in advance”.

so I replied with the following:

Quote

“If you could take the time to respond to my initial inquiry, I would be very grateful.

This response states that interviews will be scheduled roughly one month in advance. It is currently May 14 and a large forum of people with DQ’s for September and October who are next In line for appointments have heard nothing when it seems as these dates are next in order.  Where are the June interviews? Can someone please confirm whether Montreal has scheduled appointments? There has been no transparency and the consulate feels as if it is actively avoiding interaction with IV applicants as they no longer answer telephones, take weeks to respond to emails, and delete interactions off their social media.

There are so many people desperate for transparency. Can anyone please give an update on what is going on? Is the consulate even open? Are they only working half days? Knowing anything would feel better than how intentionally and extensively it feels this process has gone to alienate the American petitioners and their spouses.

so I doubt I’ll get a response but I can’t suffer another canned auto-reply that doesn’t talk about any of the questions I had.

I'm really not okay with this. If they came out and said okay we'll release the interviews rn but you don't get to be in it I would say yes because I JUST need this OVER. I'm SO upset and hurt.

OH ALSO- I called Visa Services and they ran me around in circles for like 10 minutes, telling me I just had to wait and I was like yeah I know- I'm asking about if there is ANYTHING for June. Like anything. 40 people haven't heard anything. Anyways, she pulled PSHHH PSSSS YOURE BREAKING UP ON ME BYE and hung up on ME :)

Wow, really? They pulled that? I wonder if more of us call they might get the message that they should do something?

Guys - can you call NVC and talk to a supervisor? They get the slots from the consulates two months in advance and assign interview dates one month in advance. If you talk to a supervisor they will be able to give an indication of what is going on. Can someone call? I have not time this weekend or else I would have called.

Does London give out interview dates on second Friday of the month also?

As far as I know, they're random too. But moreso if London applicants are still waiting and the Embassy is far more reliable there then there's still some hope to hear something for May.

Also didn't know that they got the slots two months in advance. What you're saying then it is within the gift of NVC in terms of the IL and not MTL all along. But yeah, who knows...shame we don't know anyone on the inside.

I wonder if we're gonna see one of those Gritty TV shows titled "NVC EXPOSED" or something. xD

Confused Thinking GIF by JK Me trying to figure out how Montreal consulate works out their interview dates and numbers...

On a happy note, my husband is coming to visit us next week. Just found out that he has to stay in a hotel room

for 3 days. It is a mandatory stay and the hotel is non-refundable... We paid over 1000 cad for his hotel as they are special rooms

at expensive government-acknowledged hotels only. They know how to make profit from people's suffering, and

they always find a way to rip you off.

Anyway, sending you all hugs and good thoughts.

Oh god, don't get me started on those useless government quarantine hotels. They've been doing more harm than good by spreading covid through the HVAC. x.x Glad your husband is able to make it over though! :)

Hey guys I have a question:

Did any of you receive second dose of MMR for the medical since childhood?

Is it safe if I just go ahead and get MMR at a local pharmacy and avoid having

the titer test?

You wouldn't believe how many hrs I have spent trying to figure out this. I called

two walk-in clinics nearby to make an appointment with a doctor to speak with them about

this, but they said the walk-ins are not permitted anymore. Walk-in clinic is my only option as I

don't have family doctor. I have been on line waiting to speak with a registered nurse

for 3 hrs now. Covid makes everything hard.

(As for the other  vaccines, I received Tdap yesterday and I had chicked pox as a kid and

Dr Cheema's website said my verbal declaration is good enough, so I don't need chicken pox

vaccine. I just need to figure out this MMR vaccine thing)

I just got all three shots (Tdap, chicken pox, and MMR) today at a nearby walk-in clinic. They don't accept walk-ins now, but you can call and book an appointment. I don't have an immunization record from my home country, so I just decided to take them all. US immigration requirement seems to require 2 doses for MMR, so I'm planning to get the second in June.

FAQ says if the interview happens before the 2nd dose, you should be ok as long as you are getting the second dose before you cross the border.

You cannot take these immunization shots for 4 weeks from a Covid shot, so probably I'm won't be able to get a Covid shot till July or later.

Have you tried TelusHealth? They may be able to help.

Or https://immunizebc.ca/

there may be a clinic close to you that will be able to give you the vaccine.
