Is it possible for the letters to go out in the afternoon? Or has it always been in the morning?

Honestly, it’s just about what has been common. They can go out at any time- some people say they got their letters at 2am pre-COVID which suggests and automated system to me, but then they not been consistent in times as long as I’ve been on here.

I don’t think I’ve seen so much anticipation for letters on here. I’m sure it’s comparable to the covid shutdown. Was there any notice given when they did shutdown? Just seems odd that there is K interviews but no spousal yet… this is excruciating!

I think the anticipation comes from last month being so incredibly disappointing and the K visa’s going out- like those two things together don’t sit well with any of us when they’ve been giving saying that, as @Shumai84 said, we are on their priority list. In a video from February they said that spouses count as services to American citizens and are mission critical. I’m really happy for people who are engaged, but I’ve been married 3 years- the paperwork is done and it’s been long enough to prove we are a real couple right? Like?

Seriously, isn't our category supposed to be on the top of their priority list?

If they are interviewing for fiance visas in June, they must be interviewing for spousal visas.

I just sent them an email. Not really expecting to come of it, but hopefully it might uh...'remind' them. xD

I think there’s (and it’s naturally human) tendency to identify patterns. E.g we hope to get the invites today because it’s the second Friday and last couple of batches were before 11am. But we can’t take that as a given. If we do want to make sense of it it’s worth looking at this more broadly. Today’s the 14th, IL’s have been sent in the past on the 16,17,18 etc. Monday the 31st is a holiday, maybe there are no interviews on the first week of June, so it’s not 2 weeks notice yet, etc..

I know we’re all trying to just get by in this frustrating process but try not to think all hope is lost just because it hasn’t went out yet today ❤️

They’re definitely not booking the first week of June if that’s the case. Why isn’t the 24 on the 24?!

I don't know what's going on over there at the Consulate. I still haven't received my tracking number and my status was changed to "ISSUED' on Monday. I don't know if I should call or email, and if I do, how would they be able to trace what happened since I don't have a tracking number? Maybe there is a glitch in their systems and that's why they haven't issued any ILs, either...

Check your status now. I literally just received my tracking number.

Welp...tried calling the Consulate, got through to their switchboard and went for "Immigrant Visas", it basically directed me to the website and said "we are not taking immigrant visa queries over the phone anymore". There goes that, I guess they got fed up of desperate applicants calling them up.

Oh. Charlie and I just realized that Memorial Day and Victoria Day aren’t the same day this year. So they’re likely closed the 24, a week we see no interviews for, and they get the 31st off for Memorial Day. They might not schedule any interviews for either of those weeks at all. I assume they’re usually the same, but now it’s just- nothing for two weeks. We might not see letters until next week for 2 weeks of interviews in June because Jean Baptiste is the 24 and so there’s another week off. We will likely only have two weeks of interviews in June so the numbers will probably be the same as last months issuance and I’m going to cry in a corner now.

Yeah you literally can’t talk to anyone over the phone. The best you could do is try to get an operator and ask aboht the operation status of the consulate. That’s it.

Ugh...this is insanity. x.x Wish I got a week off from work every time there was a holiday.

I hope that is not the case for June.  I am surprised that K1s got interview dates for the 18th and 28th of June and we have heard nothing yet, considering CR1s/IR1s are priorities and K1s are technically non-immigrant visas. I've been feeling like crying in a corner the last few days. I can totally emphasize with you! Virtual hugs for you

Omg I hope this isn't the case. The anticipation is way too much for me. I'm really hoping we hear some time today... I'm trying not to give up hope that maybe this afternoon will bring letters.

I'm on the verge of calling out sick from work today...the anxiety that the consulate is causing me is unbearable to the point that I can't do my flippin' job.

If the anxiety is getting to you, you can follow my wife’s advice: “take a break from VJ” :)

Omg right!! This is so not healthy for anyone to go through! The lack of sleep, the anxiety levels, the strain it puts on our marriages, honestly.  Thank God we have this group, no one in my circle other than my hubbins knows how stressful this has been.

Yeah then you can be anxious and upset by yourself instead of getting cathartic energy from people like you to validate your experience!

anyways

here is the calendar so far:

LEGEND: Big red X is holiday/closed

little squiggly uh- they look like fish were just crossed out for confirmed appointment dates and the IL dates are scribbled on there. I did this on my phone in the dr office don’t judge me too hard

looking at the history of how the consulate looks for anytime there’s even the small holiday- it seems to ripple through the week because not much else gets done. Here is my prediction:

I think the numbers will be as bad as last month and I’m gunna go cry.
