I feel.ya on this. I'm basically in the same situation living arrangement and job wise. It is so hard to keep occupied, and makes the anxiety worse! I'm lucky to get 5 hours of interrupted sleep. We are so close to the finish line. I hope you are in this next batch as well

Feel the same... I feel for you all. Sending you hugs. Hoping we all will get ILs this week.

Having the support if fellow VJers has made this process a little easier.  Knowing we are all going through this "together" and that we're not alone. We all understand and can empathize with each other.

Thanks so much to everyone here, especially @Kai (CanadaDude)! I just checked the portal and our status was changed to ISSUED today!!! *Squee* *Happy Dance*.

For those of you who have been waiting as long as I had to wait, hang in there. It will get better. Those statuses will change. And when you go to Montreal, just remember that both Schwartz's and Fairmount Bagel use Skip The Dishes :D .

I will let you know when I get our passports, etc. We won't be crossing until July because school, selling house, avoiding 25% Capital Gains Taxes, etc.

I am truly grateful for all y'all...!

Congratulations again! In a few more days you'll have your passport and a couple of months you will cross to immigrate and finally get your GC.

Keep in mind, doctor's wont give you vaccines within 2-4 weeks of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. I just got my first COVID shot and now have to wait before I can get my others, which is a pain. Keep that in your timeline, just in case :)

Hi does it mean that entire process of getting your medical done is delayed as well?

Normally they will not release the medical  (sent it to Montreal as complete) until you meet all the requirements. If you need any vaccines yes it would hold it up.

Thanks for this. I'm hoping to be included in this coming batch, so I will delay taking the COVID vaccine and prioritize on getting my required immunization shots for the medical.

I called Dr. Lee's office and I was told they don't offer those immunization shots, so I reached out to my family doctor to request requisitions.

I think I have time to get everything sorted out, but god I should have thought about this earlier 😓

I don't know about y'all but I'm planning to get my 1st Covid shot the day I'm arriving in the US (gonna book it in advance). Although getting on a plane without a vaccine to Montreal and back is moderately terrifying.

You can try and get your shots done in advance of your medical...make sure you get proof. I had the local pharmacy give me the flu vaccine and Tdap...didn't cost a penny as it was covered by provincial health. :)

Is the flu shot nessecary? I thought it wasn't at this point? Also do we think IL's are happening today?

I believe the annual flu shot is optional, but it will always show up on your immunization record! I didn’t get one this year because there just weren’t any available ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

At this point, any day is as good as the last. They’ll have to come out by the end of the week or people will have less than one weeks notice to get their médicale done and that seems…really difficult.

Looking at the google doc a few times they came out around the 18th. I don’t know how they expect ppl to get the medical done and the results in so short of time. I wish they would just make ppl down once Dq that’s way we would at lest know what date we were waiting for.
