Ah, wish I had seen this before posting my own post! Must keep in mind to check these big threads for updates to things like ILs. :) If they haven't been sent today (since I assume if they would be going out today, they already would have gone out?) then what day potentially next week could we receive?

I would expect any day next week. I've seen them go out on Mon, Thurs and Fri. Not sure about Tues and Weds. Window has passed for today I would guess, last time they came out at 10:35am local time.

Exciting! I'll be watching my email like a hawk next week then. We DQ'd on October 7th 2020, so I'm not sure if we'll be in this cycle or the next... soon, I hope!

It's so hard to tell since there is no real pattern for when they go out. Last 2 IL cycles were sent out on the 2nd Friday of the month. Hopefully we hear something before then,  but I'm guessing they will go out next Friday

Hi - I'm back. Should I be concerned that on the ais.usvisa-info.com site, my status still says "appointment" for both my teenager and me, even though we were told we were recommended for approval on Wednesday? How long should I wait before being concerned? Thanks.

Have you checked your visa application status at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV - If you've been approved, it should hopefully say 'Issued' or 'Final Processing'...though it might briefly say 'Refused - Administrative Processing' if they're doing final checks.

It still just says "Ready" :( What does that mean? Did they lose all our stuff??

Hmm, okay. Usually that's the status before the interview...but I have seen cases where it flips between various statuses including 'ready' before finally saying issued. You can always email them if you're worried, but unless you were issued a Sec. 221(g) letter at your interview, I wouldn't be too worried at all.

Thanks. I definitely was NOT given a 221g letter. I was given a "Welcome To the United States" letter! OK, I won't worry until next week. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary so I was hoping for the status change today. I will keep all y'all posted...

I think that basically means you were approved. Congrats! :D I think they just haven't got around to printing your visa foil yet.

Hey guys,

A quick update. Our visas have been issued yesterday and we received tracking confirmation from Canada post. We had interview on 3rd May.
We had medical exam with Dr Ian Z. On 26th Apr and our results were on time. Their turn around time is a week.

I have shipped out small boxes of my stuff that I can’t use where I live right now, but otherwise I just have a list of what I’m shipping vs what I’m taking on the plane with me. It makes me sad sometimes, but at the same time when I had to accept there would be no movement for 6 months+ and put my suitcases into storage, that really broke my heart t’be most. I am trying to be more optimistic than not but it’s really hard- I’m /so/ close. After last month being so small, I don’t think I’ll get in until June so I’m really just going to try and look forward to that and tell myself it’s only another 30 days and it’s okay to be hopeful  ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

@Mikeeastern it is not healthy at all- stress has very real long term effects on the body and I need this to be over. It literally makes me sick sometimes 😞💔

Would you mind sharing what shipping service you have used? I may have to do the same, but considering small birthday package through UPS was $40 I'm only guessing bigger boxes may be a fortune.

I own virtually nothing and am moving with two suitcases and I’m just shipping the stuff I don’t trust TSA with since they beef’d my laptop real good last time. I was just going to use UPS/Canada Post Express for what will likely be about 4-5 boxes or less so I figured it wasn’t worth a shipping company 😞

Hello all, do we get SSN (just the number) at the time of POE ?
or will it be only provided in SSN envelope ?

So long as you checked 'Yes' to the Department of State sharing info with the Social Security Administration on DS-260, you should receive your SSN in a letter a few weeks/months after PoE. Sometimes it doesn't happen and you have to contact the SSA to get one.

I am looking at air tickets from YEG-WAS and flights are available via YYZ with a lay over option of 1h12/1h42m/5h56m.

We will be having our secondary at YYZ and ideally i want to have around 3h layover on the safer side but no option is available.

Can somebody share their recent experience of secondary at YYZ? how long normally it will take?

Thanks
