For those of you who say you are DQ, does your statues on NVC actually say that or just “accepted “. I want to make sure I am not missing a step

Thank you

It just says "Accepted". You have to check your messages on CEAC for the actual "Documentarily Qualified" confirmation. My interview is tomorrow and it still says "Accepted" and "Submitted" for those documents I submitted post-DQ (we had to change our AoS).

So as I’m going crazy waiting for my letter got 6 months at lest still to go. I was reading Biden’s new bill and it says “Lastly, the bill allows immigrants with approved family-sponsorship petitions to join family in the United States on a temporary basis while they wait for green cards to become available.” does this mean us cr1 ir1 ??? Bc I can be packed in a hr lol

Nah...I'm assuming that's Family Preference categories because they haven't prioritized those in the same way they've prioritized IR/CR and K visas.  Remember, there are a good number of categories that require a visa to become available and are subject to the numbers delineated by the visa bulletins.  IR/CR and K don't - we get automatic eligibility due to marriage.

Wait did it get passed? I heard it would take a while before this is enacted.

Does the notice for the interview at Montreal embassy come through email? or is the "interview letter" really a letter that is delivered by mail through CanadaPost?

It's just an email that both the applicant and the petitioner receive I believe.

Waiting for an IL has been excruciating...I should be in the next batch, but it's just hard to believe until I actually see it.

If they schedule interviews for one month of backlog of DQ dates, I should be in, but I can't help but think of "what ifs" as they did't even cover a full month last time.

I even requested for a new police certificate in case my interview doesn't happen before its expiration in July just to eliminate every uncertainty that I can possibly eliminate.

My heart skips a beat every time I see a few new messages. You think 5/7 for IL send outs? I'm DQ 9/19 and I know we are almost at the end of the journey.

Oh I’m praying the get threw a good chunk of oct!

I am too, we all need to see more movement in the interviews. Hopefully they make up for the lack of interviews sent out for May. We were all so disappointed when they only did a few weeks worth. Would be great if they did 2 months worth to make up for it

I’m getting mine redone today for the same reason. I wouldn’t need it redone if I do get my letter but at this point I have no faith left and I just…need to feel like I’m doing something.

I’m DQ Oct 16 and if not for the horrendous disappointment of last month, I had hope for my letter this month but now…they’ve opened up more visa categories so I think our numbers are going to dwindle and I’m trying so hard to tell myself it won’t be me to help how much this is going to hurt when IL letters come out and I feel like I’m negotiating my own heartbreak.

I know on a larger scale that it’s great they’ve opened up some more categories, but it’s starting to make me feel like this is competitive when it’s not. It’s really messing with my head and heart, and I’m so tired of my partner and I watching each other suffer because of everything going on. I feel so so so bad for people who DQ’d earlier in 2021 bc the VJ statistics for appointment wait times for Canada is now 451 days…I’m falling apart at 200+. My greatest hope for all you with 2021 DQ dates is that travel restrictions can loosen up in the fall once people start being fully vaccinated.

edit: here is a video representation of me trying to use all the statistics available to us to try and predict IL dates, quantities, or movement of any kind. Pepe Silvia is the Montreal consulate 😂
