I have a strange question to ask. I currently sport purple hair with a blue ombre. My job here in Canada allows for any hair colour. I know that when I move to AZ 90% of places only allow "natural" hair colours. I was thinking of trying out different colours to see which ones I like best, but am not sure if I should wait until after my interview seeing as my passport pictures were taken with the purple/blue. Would this make any difference in the process?

Have you considered a wig 😏

that’s what I do when I’m unsure of what to do in the moment of indecision 😂 then you don’t have to worry about it until you get to AZ

How come 10 days in Montreal? Well, maybe the 2k gov hotel stay is a myth. Can anyone actually confirm that they paid 2k for the gov 3 night hotel stay ?

I haven’t seen anything posted about hotel stays if flying with in Canada. But if u flying from any were else it’s 3 days at a q hotel. If u refuse then u go into a government hotel for 2 weeks. I haven’t gone to see my husband bc of that also if not mistaken ur whole household need to stay in q too now . I went in oct got back nov no one ever check to see if I was staying home.

Why don't Canadians protest these ridiculous policies like hotel quarantine?  Do they not value freedom?   I don't get it.  Just because there's a so-called virus everyone's like, "Yes, please take all my freedoms away indefinitely."  If only restaurants, gyms, and other so-called "non-essentials" would have just collectively refused to close.  Whatever.

There are plenty of protests. Managing COVID19 isn’t about freedom, it’s about surviving and helping others survive. The quarantine hotels only stop poor people from travelling, the people who complain the most about their “freedom” are usually the ones who can afford the hotels lol.

People on here just want to be with the ones we love.

It's funny you mention that. I had suggested buying one months ago so I can keep my purple hair :) However, it's the length of my hair and thickness that has stopped me. I have thick, almost butt length hair, that I really don't want to cut, and I'm not sure if I would be able to handle the extra heat from the wig in the summer months of AZ. Last July it reached 122....yikes, I'll be getting to AZ during the hottest months of the year. Thank God we live right off the Colorado River ;)

Yeah, and the delay to being with loved ones is due to COVID restrictions, obviously.  If you're scared of the virus, stay home.  Otherwise, people have freedom to live their life.  In my opinion the restrictions were not about the virus - they were about control.

And all Canada has done for the past 14 months is criticize the US for the theoretically high COVID cases.  It's been incredibly irritating.  Why do we even let Canada be its own country.  What a joke of a country Canada is.

I'm not opposed to short term restrictions to act as a circuit breaker to bring down cases if they get out of control. But this long bount of restrictions that have been going on and on and on without making much of a dent in transmission or case counts are extremely aggravating and concerning. They don't feel temporary, that's for sure. Probably what concerns me above all is how reluctant the Government is to inform those that are vaccinated whether restrictions will be removed and hopefully permanently. If the Government's saying "If you get vaccinated, you might not have to wear a mask outside" is a pretty poor motivation to get the shot. There is much to be said for 'power once taken' sadly, as is the case with the border, it's very easy to close it, and a whole another matter just trying to get it opened.

We do absolutely have to reach a point and say, "right everyone's had an opportunity to get a shot. Restrictions are gone permanently. If you don't get the vaccine, get ill and die from Covid, that's on you". The Canadian government is a bit of a wet sock and I don't think they have the courage to come out and say that.

Yeah that’s the truth. Says ur 2 month away from ur interview u try to cross over and u are told no. All this waiting and hard work is now out the window. I’m just going to sit at home and wait for my turn. It will prob be a year with out seeing my husband. But I don’t want to risk making it even longer !

Call the cpb where you want to cross. I know a few people that called and they were told it's OK and had no issues. It seems to be location related.
