Thank you! We’ll be coming from the States 😕

I will also be coming from the States, and expecting interview in July. Yes, you need to quarantine for two weeks before your medical, which needs to be done at least a week in advance if you want the results to get to the consulate before the interview. I am planning to go to Canada prior to when I expect to get an IL, since once you receive the IL, you may only have 3 or 4 weeks turnaround time. With a mandatory 14 day quarantine (even if you are vaccinated!), the time to get everything done after receiving the IL is very tight.

Thanks so much. And forgive me again for this question, but only the beneficiary goes to the interview, correct?

Yes, only the beneficiary. Who knows if quarantine requirements will change by July / August. I hope so!

Oh and I just noticed that you and I have the exact same DQ date of Dec. 3rd! I am hoping for a July interview, but it may be August. It's very hard to predict!

Hi! I got DQ in November 17,  2020. And I’m here in the US visiting my husband. Considering the trend, when will I possibly received my IL? Or my interview date? Thank you.

Curious how you are visiting in the US? Are you a Canadian citizen and had no trouble visiting the US?

I’m a Canadian citizen. I had no trouble visiting. Just basic questions plus negative Covid test.

Really? Wow I was told to not have my wife travel on a tourist visa while we were waiting for this interview? Conflict of interest for the visa process.

I’m not sure but I’ve seen a lot on here that also visits their spouse while waiting for their interview date. Just don’t overstay or work.

We were told by a lawyer not to cross the border in case of any problems but my wife could come from Canada to visit for a month while we wait for her interview?

this is unbelievable if true we have been living apart for a year because of this
