Hey! I just wanted to say that I was in a similar situation (Irish citizen living in Canada). I had my case transferred from Dublin to Montreal because, well, Ireland is handing this pandemic terribly. I reached out to the NVC and they ASSURED (after me asking ARE YOU SURE ARE YOU SURE ARE YOU SURE for 30 mins) that your DQ is your DQ, and that you WILL NOT lose your place in line, regardless of how many times you change embassy/consulate. Hope this helps!!

I entered the US by land on March 28, I received my SSN within a week and I received permanent resident card this past Friday.

I also read that if your primary residence is in Ontario, you will not be stopped from entering. We should keep checking all of this Incase things change in the upcoming weeks though!

My wife had the interview this morning and she was approved!! The interview process was similar to all others. However, because she is on work visa in Canada she was asked more questions about her education and what exactly she does for living. Also, highly recommend to upload all your new documents to make the interview smoother.

My husband was APPROVED!!!  😆 Thank God because I had every fear that he would be denied!! So his interview was about 2 hours only because they were busy today...about 15 people getting interviewed today! They asked all of the same questions that everyone on here got asked...actually a few less, so thanks to everyone who wrote their reviews on here about their experiences!  They asked for his passport at the first window, and scanned one passport picture, and his civil documents were asked for at the second window along with my updated taxes. All I had was my 2019 1040's and the were fine with those and we also had a joint sponsor and so he gave the officer their amended 1040's. Since I didn't meet the financial requirements and I haven't worked a day last year, all they really cared about then was my joint sponsors 1040's. They were apparently super super nice and asked minimal questions. So if anyone relates to our financial situation and is worried about it, you'll most likely be more than fine as long as one sponsor meets the minimum income requirement. A note to make was that they gave our marriage certificate back and didn't give back his police check or certified birth certificate. Third window was a breeze with the exact same questions that everyone else on here got asked and that was it!! The lady at the third window was nice enough to try and expedite our passport printing process once they heard my due date is next Saturday!!! SO now its just fingers crossed that he gets back here in time for the birth 🤞 ** FOR THE CHECKPOINT ** My husband just crossed the checkpoint now and they didn't even stop him coming into Ontario so he was just flagged through and was unable to ask for you guys about coming into Quebec, sorry!  Not sure if it was because he had a Ontario license plate, but he did say that a car with a Quebec license plate also just got flagged through and didn't even stop them so i'm not sure who they are stopping and who they're not! Good luck to everyone else who has interviews coming up!! They are super nice and you will have no worries as long as you have all of your civil documents and taxes  Don't stress!!

Yes curfew is still at 8! You actually can't even leave your hotel room actually to even go to the hotel lobby past 8pm.

You’ll have to fill out your timeline and then ask @Hawk Riders to be added to the spreadsheet. From there you’ll see where you sit on the list of vjers. As of right now interviews have been booked to may 19th ish

As a note based off of your previous question, this thread (and the spreadsheet at the link) is for IR-1 visas for spouses. If you're working on an IR-5 visa the process might be different.

now that the Presidential proclamation that had stopped the processing of interviews for parents have restarted , I wonder if there should be any difference in priority in terms of scheduling as both qualify as IR? Anyone have any insight in this ?

From what I understand Montreal are still prioritizing spouses, fiances, and minor children (Categories K-1, K-2, IR-1, IR-2, CR-1 and CR-2). Montreal isn't interviewing other categories at the moment unless there are grounds for an emergency appointment. Despite the PP being revoked Montreal hasn't changed their interviewing policy.
