No, I listed it as IR-1/CR-1, not sure how it changed to that, country I listed was Canada and that changed too. I edited it to what it should be, can I also be added to the immigration timeline with the others on here? thanks.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find this info in the FAQs. For the medical passport photos, are they US-sized or Canadian-sized or does it matter? Thanks.

It depends where you're going as many, if not all of them, are taking their own digital photos now. If you want to bring some just in case, they would be US sized :)

Hello everyone.
I am back home now and finally have some time to write my interview's review:

My experience was pretty much as everyone else's, but my batch of applicants were let in couple minutes early before our 8:30am schedule (it was three of us entering at the same time).
I submit my passport first, then was called again to submit all of my documents (photos, birth certificates, mine and my grown children, marriage certificate, legal name change certificate, divorce certificates, mine and my husbands, police certificates, Canadian and from my birth country).
At the actual interview was asked many more questions than majority of applicants (this is based on previous reviews, where I saw people were asked 5 to 10 questions in total):
Address of my husband, and if we are planning to live there,
His phone number,
His place of employment and occupation,
What do I do for a living
How long ago I immigrated to Canada,
How my husband and I meet,
Where did we get married and when,
Who was attending our wedding,
How often we visit each other since we applied,
Where have I traveled in the last 5 years,
What was the longest time I visited USA and when,
Have I ever overstayed my visa,
Have I ever been denied entry to USA,
Asked about my grown children (names and dates of birth) and if they are planning to come to live with us at the later time,
If we have more children between us (yes).
Asked how old is my husbands daughter,
Next question was what her date of birth
And what is their custody arrangements and clarified that she will be basically living with us.
What am I planning to do when I move with my husband
Asked if I am currently employed and where.

There was a slight snag when they found a "discrepancy" in information on my birth certificate. More than once I was asked what is my mother's maiden name. I have provided that, but in my birth certificate my mother listed under her married name (this is normal procedure in country of my birth). They asked me to wait until they check something and after a little while they said that everything checks out.

I think this is it... Maybe I missed something, but basically this was the whole interview. I think officer was more curious about my life story, when what how... He said he is approving my application and gave me the paper "Welcome to United States of America".

That was it and I was free to go.
The whole interview was about 1.5 hours in total.

We had medical on April 8, and Dr. said we should have the results at the consulate for April 14 interview.

Thx. At which clinic  you had medical?

Ideally it should be US size but I am not sure. Let’s wait if someone can share their experience.

I'm wondering if the later part of May is being used for other IV categories and K-1s? Anyone has info whether that might be the case or do they just do those cases on different days?

Had my medical with Dr. Zatzman in Toronto today (interview is on the 26th). Took a hour at his office, people were lines up down the hall just to get checked in, although they seemed to be calling us in appointment order.  had to wait 3 hours to have the blood work done, xray was super quick and they gave me the CD.   Highly recommend using the check in service on the dynacare website to expedite the lab work process.

I missed one of my daughters immunization that she needs, so have to have that done and report back to him before he can send it off.

Super excited for next steps!  Seems sureal to be this close to the end of this long drawn out process.

We are also booked with him. Should we checked in with dynacare with 1 hour interval from Dr appointment ?

Hey guys,

Any idea about turnaround time of medical exam results from Toronto or Montreal clinics?

Our interview is scheduled on May 03 and we will be flying from AB. We are weighing this option if we can do medical exam and interview in the same trip.

What would be the wait time If medical results reach to consulate after our visa interview ?

Although we will be moving to US on July 01, 2021 still we don’t want to risk anything due to COVID-19 situation.

My exam was on March 29 and my interview on April 7th. Dr. Lee Randall (Toronto) managed to send the Medical on April 5th. If you have all the vaccines completed and have proof of certain microbiotics reactive in your blood (as proof of prior vaccination) it is not impossible to be sent in 1 week.

Hi All,

Interview on Wed, so nervous now!  For the documents they ask for, I have seen instruction to submit originals and copies.  Have they been asking for the copies recently?  I have them, just trying to keep it super simple when I get in there.  And, are the originals handed back to you right there?  Or sent back with the passport/visa like some info says?

My interview is on Wednesday as well9:45! I have a folder with all the copies in it and a folder with all my originals. I figured it was just the passport they took and mailed back. On my way to Montreal right now! My son has a CRBA interview tomorrow morning as well.

I don’t have any info, but fwiw the FB group has been silent on K1’s scheduled for May as of this writing. Honestly the communication from Montreal is so bad it’s hard to know why they stopped at the 19th and if there’s any more IL’s going out or not. I know the FAQ said they might not be done yet, I hope it’s not time to remove this note from the FAQ :(

The communication from the consulate is horrible! The not knowing is increasing my anxiety levels
