Hey everyone, congrats on getting your IL! I am one of the lucky people but due to my circumstances I may be forced to reschedule my interview 😢
Has anyone besides @Emilini gone through the process of rescheduling ? If so, please kindly msg me or reply.
Also, what would happen if the medical results are not ready in time for the interview?
Thank you in advance for the responses.

Oh no! I hope things work out for you! Sounds like rescheduling is not fun :( As for medical results, from what I've seen you can still have your interview, but then your acceptance is pending until the results get to the consulate. Once, they get the results they will update you to issued if there are no problems :)

Hello everyone,

I got my interview date for my son who is 14 years old, for May 19. I usually get his papers first, I hope they give me the same date with him.

Should I call them now and ask for same day interview or wait till I get my letter?

Is this the right number to call the Montreal US Consulate?

514-398-9695

thank you guys!!!

Hi Congrats for your son's letter. Hope you will receive yours as well. What is your DQ date?

I DQd Sep 18, and I am just trying to get some ideas whether I should hope for a letter this month.

Thanks!

Is this one on the FAQ's?  I know it's not a super common thing as there aren't tons of people who immigrate with their kids, but it has been asked a few times and most of us that have done it with kids seem to drop off after the green card is in hand!

I honestly thought it was but I just checked and it's not. Adding it now!

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

Thank you so much for the reply! 🙂 Also, in light of the new lock downs and restrictions does anyone know if travelling between Ontario and Quebec will be permitted without issues ?

Again from what I've seen, travel for interview is considered essential so you shouldn't have a problem. Montreal/Quebec is not under lockdown, just Ontario, however there is a curfew of 8pm. Just bring your IL in case you're stopped.

I am planning to flying to Montreal from Toronto. Do the lockdowns impact the flights ? I apologize in advance if the questions are dumb but I am hoping someone is in the same boat as me and I am not in Canada atm so it is difficult to keep track of all the restrictions

To be honest, the latest Interview day I've seen on here is May 17th, so that should mean that there are more slots to be filled.

I have seen all the way to May 19th! But yes, there will likely be more dates coming throughout the day or even on Monday/Tuesday. Right now they've only sent out emails for about 2 weeks worth of DQ dates (latest DQ date I've seen is Sept 5th).

Thank you!!!! I have on my timeline DQ Sept 5 that is for me not my son. My son was DQ Sept 17. So very funny that I was DQ  before him but he got his interview letter out first, very strange.  I think they deal with kids cases in a different way than adults. That is all I could think of.

Must be due to how they handle the interview queue for the different visa categories? Honestly, it's a mystery and so opaque. If it wasn't for the IR-1/CR-1 tracking sheet we'd be completely in the dark when our names would get pulled out the hat.

would be nice to know how late others received their IL during the day, could give us an idea if we can still expect on today or not ;)

In past rounds I don't think anyone received their letter after 4pm ET. I would guess that we'll see a larger round of interview letters on Monday.

I'm really doubting we're getting anything more today, it's 3:41pm in Montreal, and they probably all clock off around 4/5pm. My money is on Monday, and if not Monday then I'm gonna be scratching my head because they've missed out a good chunk of late May.
