Hey guys, when I registered my appointment, since the DS-260 number field was not required I just didn't fill that in. But now I'm wondering, is that going to screw something up? Unfortunately I can't seem to go back and add it after completing the registration. Feeling anxious about this.

We didn't put one in and it accepted it. Shouldn't be a problem..

Hi VJ fam. SO happy to see the new interview letters come out!

Update on our case: It's now been 5 weeks post husband's interview and still no sign of any updates on his visa. I'm not really sure what's still causing the hold up. I've been emailing them, but continue receiving the same automated response of "case in admin process". The Consulate hasn't requested ANY documents from us since his interview (they only needed the medical). I'm now thinking this hold up is due to my husband being a Canadian PR and of Indian nationality as this might warrant further checks. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience/delay being a Canadian PR? Any advice you may have would be greatly appreciated. We're still staying strong and hanging in there. Hoping things turn around for us soon! ❤️

You can find reviews from people who were in extended AP, just search below on google

From what I have seen, it can take anywhere between 2 months to a year for AP and its pretty much a black hole. I have seen some fair number of people getting approved who were Canadian PR and Indian citizen. Hope you guys get a response soon!

I was able to go back and fill it in later. On the summary page, next to your name is a little gear symbol. Click on that, then choose the "Edit" option from the drop down.

It lets you edit your DS-260 Number there? When I click edit after clicking the gear symbol, It does not let me edit that specific field. It looks like I could edit the passport number, phone number, etc., but not DS-260 Number. It didn't earlier today or just now when I went back to try again after reading your message.

Yes! I’ve researched this topic quite a bit. Most people are told they are being placed in the long AP. My husband wasn’t told that and they kept his passport. He also wasn’t asked for any additional docs or to complete the DS 5535 form. I do feel that his situation is a bit different and hopefully we won’t be stuck in this for much longer. All we can do is wait and pray for the best. 🙏🏽

Ya I read your review recently and they clearly stated it was just the medical. There have been a few members who have been delayed a month or so because of it, Japples comes to mind. It will come soon!

Yes it only allows you a one time edit of certain things but not the DS-260 no. My husband renewed his passport and I was thankful it allowed us to put his new passport number in.

Oh weird..I guess maybe it let me because I edited mine before actually completing the final step.

That’s possible, we were just happy to be able to change my husband’s passport number!
