Do they have discretion to ignore the yes on the ds160 to drugs and the medical and court records. The only thing in my favour is my charge is “Drive Under the influence of alcohol or drugs” so i am not convicted of a controlled substance violation. Is discretion a thing?

Wouldn’t the CO get in trouble if they let me in?

"Get in trouble for letting you in"?   Not going to happen.  They follow the law.

it certainly can

Most inadmissibilities can be waived.

did the dr give you the report to take to interview?

or is he sending it to embassy himself?

at our embassy sending the dr report means u did not pass the medical (would be for drugs in this case) and giving the sealed report to the person to hand carry means you passed

if you are denied,  there is a year wait to be tested for the drug and continue the process

I believe you can not do the 601 waiver till the year is up but i will stand corrected if i am wrong

will depend on what dr says about medical

that's all i was refer to as we don't know he will pass exam for no Marijuana in his system

Doctor determines Medical issues not Criminal issues.

Explain here? I’m thinking the issue I have is a criminal one. I definitely passed the medical the doctor was trying to help me out. I am labeled class be abuser in full remission. It was 10 years ago and I was a teenager.
