PAL are still doing flights.  My original flight back to the US was for tomorrow and I changed it to Feb 19th.  I was on the phone with PAL and asked them if they expect the MNL to JFK flights to be suspended or cut back and she said no.  The JFK flight is only once a week anyway.  The others are still flying and actually quite full.  The flight tomorrow from MNL to JFK only had 9 seats left.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

My flight dec 27th was 2/3 empty coming from ICN to MNL. I would expect with tightening travel bans even against PH citizens the planes are going to start emptying out.

I have done that flight albeit before the virus, and it was half empty back in the day.

But you are correct it's gonna get to a point they will be empty unless something changes, and once empty I suspect you will see very limited flights.

And the way things are going both in the US and PI with virus spreading I see this going on for a long time like another year.

My step son and daughter are flying from Manila to LAX next week.  We had flights booked and cancelled with EVA, Cathay, and ANA.  Now the only viable option is PAL direct to LA and a 6 hour wait for the flight to Chicago.

Hello I was just wondering if anybody knew if philippine airlines was doing outgoing travel to the US?

I booked a flight with Phil Air for my fiance and son to San Francisco on the 23rd. Just keeping my fingers crossed for an easy exit.

I figured they would cancel most flights and only run few of them with full capacity.

Full of empty seats

YMMV
