About 2-3 million from India filed for Adjustment of Status applications in October and November + Covid social distances = unlimited delay.

BS.

The number of applicants for adjustment of status was 565,427 in 2016 to 549,086 in 2017.  This is total from every country.  Not just one country.  Data from DHS.  https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/Lawful_Permanent_Residents_2017.pdf

You want us to believe that for 2 months in 2020, the number of people filing for AOS from one country is 4 to 6 times the total annual number worldwide.  Totally false.

Anybody have any info if NOA1s have begun to be processed? My I-129F packet was received on the 12th, but judging from people's messages it seems it may take up to a month. I do hope though with holidays over and the new year, processing will speed up...

Removal of Conditions (I-751)
2/17/24: I-751 packet shipped via FedEx

2/20/24: I-751 packet delivered

2/22/24: Receipt Number available on USCIS Portal

2/27/24: Extension Letter Available Online, Biometric Re-use letter, "Case is being actively reviewed"

Some people are waiting since October-November to receive their NOA1s. No one can tell with certainty when the backlog will clear up. Hopefully soon 🤞🏽

They are being processed but very slowly and in no particular order it would seem. On other threads people who filed mid-Nov received theirs in mid-Dec but there are many from October that haven't received.

It's really interesting - looking at some timelines on VJ, most people who filed in the first half of October seem to have got their NOA1. I wonder what happened in mid-October that caused this backlog to start?

we last saw each other: March 2020
I-129F sent: 12/24/2020

USCIS received: 12/29/2020

NOA1 notice date: 2/27/2021

NOA1 receipt date (backdated): 12/28/2020

NOA2: 08/11/2021

NOA2 paper copy: 08/18/2021

NVC received: 08/25/2021

NVC number issued: 09/01/2021

We have lots of info on NOA1's being released. Though it's slow no one can articulate why there has been a slowdown. Most of this process has been revealed but only by what others have reported. I recommend that you become a student of some of the different topics to learn more. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

I can tell you from looking at what is being receipted right now, unless you are a very lucky outlier plan on a short timeframe of 2 months, and an average timeframe of closer to 3 months. All I-129F's given an NOA-1 yesterday were delivered to the Lockbox in October.

Does that mean the entire timeline moves back months?

This is what we would like a definite answer on.

USCIS has said that with the current delays receipt dates will not be affected. In the past with a similar delay they also stated that receipt dates would be honored. Currently we are seeing all NOA-1 messages using the receipt date at the lockbox, rather than the inprocessing date. So something entered today is still using a receipt date of October, November, December, and so on. Our hope is that rather than seeing a NOA-1 taking 1-2 weeks and NOA-2 taking 8-9 months what we will see is NOA-1 taking 2-3 months, and NOA-2 taking 6-7 months due to this. However we will not have any definite facts until October-December filers begin getting their NOA-2 this upcoming summer.

Such a shame. Before people were getting NOA1 in several days or a week or so. From.filing to visa it could take 8 months. God knows how much it will take from filing to visa now (e.g. filed in early January).

It appears there have been no NOA1 receipt notices received by I-129F applicants since mid-December. I am one of the people that haven't received my NOA1 (packet received by lockbox on 13th Nov). Does anyone know whether they are actually processing the K1s right now? I don't understand how it could possibly take SO long even if there is an influx of applications. It's getting really frustrating.

I'm seeing a limited number of I-129F's being processed in the past month, but a large slowdown since the holiday weeks.

I'm counting 316 NOA-1's in the past month with delivery dates ranging from 8 October to 8 January, 238 that I count were issued the 13th to the 18th of December. Most of these were delivered to the lockbox between 13 November and 16 November. Hopefully we see these numbers pick back up to pre-holiday rates tomorrow and Friday but who is to say.

Hi, when I originally posted this thread question I meant to ask whether NOA1s are being processed specifically for K1 applicants. I think I have somewhat figured out how you are seeing the number of receipts issued every day, however, I haven't seen any recently for a K1 fiance applicant. Have you? You seem to be quite good at understanding such things. My concern is that they're not processing K1 receipts for some reason.

My fiancé sent our I-129f in early November. It was received nov 24th according to the tracking.

His check is yet to be banked and we have not received a NOA1. It feels so draining emotionally already as it’s been 17 months since we have been able to see one another.

I thought NZ hadn't shut it's borders? Australia won't let people out but didn't think NZ had been that strict.
