The case goes from NVC to Embassy. I believe it gets to the Embassy pretty quick and they schedule the appt as soon as they can. The problem is the huge backlog due to Covid lock down. You have to have a very good reason to request expedite or it will be rejected. Remember that everyone who is waiting wants it to go faster but the do not expedite because you want it faster. I am not sure who you contact in order to expedite. I am sure others on here may know. like @Hank_

I requested a K1 expedite when it was already at the embassy so I wrote the embassy.  They expedited our case but from the date I wrote the email it was just over a month when they responded with an interview date which was another 6 weeks away. So the date of sending the 1st email to date of interview as an expedite was 74 days.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Do you know by chance if i need to contact USEM manila or NVC for expedite request?

With the IR/CR-1 contact NVC first.   Are you DQ?  (Documents Qualified)

Yes, got DQ last week. Hoping for final interview to be scheduled. How did you find out about the interview schedule? Or how do i know if my application is in line for final interview?

NVC contacts the embassy for an interview appt once status is DQ, which is why NVC is where you start to request an expedite.   Once NVC receives the interview date you will receive an email/letter stating the date and time.   At this point you can contact USEM to reschedule to an earlier date.

Hi, how did you contact the embassy for expedite request? Our case is DQ last month but have not heard anything yet after. Our case status still says “at nvc”.

Ours was at the embassy in Feb 2020 and by the time we could do the medical the embassy closed. In September I wrote asking for an expedite as my son was not in school and stuck in the Philippines. After about a month the embassy responded with an interview date for December.  We never got stuck at nvc as the pandemic hadn’t started yet.
