Be prepared for it to be declined, despite your belief that you have a strong and valid case. Maybe your wife’s issues are very serious and I am not suggesting that they are not. But from the perspective of the authorities, she lives in one of the most advanced countries in the world. If her issues are related to health, we have excellent doctors. If her issues are related to finances due to losing a job or something, we have unemployment insurance and welfare for that. If her issues are to do with her mental health, we have therapists for that.

What I am saying is, they will expect you to demonstrate what YOU can provide to alleviate her issues that cannot be provided by any organization or professional person in the United States. Usually the only thing that a spouse can provide that no one else can is love and emotional support and that doesn’t qualify for an expedite. I understand you want to be there for your wife. My husband lost both his father and his stepmother during our IR-1 process and I wanted to be there for him. If you are at the interview stage now the majority of the waiting is over. The end is in sight.

What you are saying made sense to me and i agree with you. But i believe there is no harm in trying and telling them why we are requesting it particularly. Whatever they decide obviously we have to respect that. Yes i am at the interview stage and hoping embassy to speed things up.

You should have also indicated that you are at ISL.  Be prepared for a very long wait after your interview.

Well yeah i am at ISL. Do you believe they make you wait for no reason even if your case doesn't fall in Administrative process? Why do you think the wait is anyways?

All cases go through Administrative Processing.  Some just take longer.....commonly in Pakistan.

I did. That's what made me confused and i was trying to explain people here. Everyone has their own opinion which i respect. But nobody really told me whether that is a Glitch or it actually means something.

It could be a glitch but better call the NVC to clarify. I read from your other posts that your joint sponsor's documents are still tagged as "submitted"? You should also ask them about it.

So i did speak to them and they told me i got the second notification because of the joint sponsor documents which i had submitted after being documentarily qualified the first time. I submitted the Joint Sponsor documents after about 20 days of being DQ the first time. They said its gonna remain submitted and the Embassy will check the documents on the interview day.

I see.

Islamabad is very backed up for scheduling interviews because of the pandemic, not much you can do about that if your expedite is not approved.  Then after the interview, be prepared for a long period of administrative processing which is normal for Pakistan because of the extensive background checks they have to do.  Visit the Pakistan forum for specific stories and experiences of others in your same situation.  Hopefully your spouse can visit you in Pakistan during the wait, especially before your interview, as time spent together helps support your claim that the marriage is bona fide.  Good luck!
