They said they won't exempt people who've had the vaccine because it still isn't clear weather or not they can spread the virus asymptomatically.

Sounds pretty unscientific, to me.

Yeah... And I actually had covid last July already. Too bad those antibodies don't help

I have no issues with proof of infection, and now proof of antibodies. I carry the official lab results with me, and on my phone as a PDF. I even have screenshots of both positive infection and antibody test results. I flew into LAX last week where california implemented a 10 day quarantine for anyone who arrived at LAX. Showed my lab reports and didn't have to do all the paperwork they had. So I think this will work for entry into the country. But some counties are still enforcing the quarantine even if you have been vaccinated ( Thailand).  I was scheduled for my first vaccine a few weeks ago, but since I have the antibodies, they pushed me back. I went to california to work last week because so many people were out of work because of the covid-19, they all tested positive. I said I'll go work, I can't catch it twice. I think I am going to Phoenix soon, they are having issues there also.

How do they enforce quarantine?

In my post a few posts up I stated that you need to have been positive within 90 days starting jan 26. Reading your test results look like you had it in early January so you’ll be ok. You just need a fit to fly letter from your doctor. The cdc document summarizes all the steps.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Who are you talking to? I never said I didn't need a test

It’s pretty clear I highlighted Lorens post and was talking to him.

Those are his antibody results, not covid test results

All those questions are answered in the 9 page cdc PDF document at their website.  It’s quite detailed, for once, on all the different scenarios.

Tested positive on December 16th I think, right around there. Then you have to wait minimum of 14 days for antibodies to register on blood test. I waited about 20 days, because I had to fly out to Los Angeles. So the I hit a LabCorp near LAX on hawthorne BLVD to get the test done since I was already in the LabCorp system because I had it scheduled around the 3rd or 4th of January. Actually the 18, I have the results here, I just checked.

From what I've read so far, the person vaccinated is protected but that person can still be a carrier.

Yeah, that was my question. Would a country have a right to bar entry to a citizen merely because they have a positive Covid test? Where would they even go otherwise?

You probably wont be able to fly if you have a positive test

Right, so the idea would be just quarantine where you are until you test negative?
