I was going to make a post about something similar.  CNN has been spreading their version of mostly anti-American news for years.  When I travelled a lot, 1995-2012, there is was, in the face of International travelers everywhere.

 

On Jan. 2, FOX news was dropped (contract expired) with Cignal here in the Philippines  So now CNN and Al Jazeera are my only choices for cable news.  I assume that is the same for most of the Philippines.  If I want to pay more, I could get BBC and/or CNBC and/or Bloomberg.

 

I can watch CNN for about 3 minutes.  Al Jazeera has less U.S. coverage, so I can go a bit longer.

I suggest replacing it with ambience zen nature videos on a loop with wind chimes, singing bowls, chirping birds and other "chill out" sounds so badly needed right now.

With all the smart phones out there, isn't the CNN News Airport stuff pretty outdated.  My preference would be some music, maybe 60's on 6 from SiriusXM.

Eh, a little to old for me.  I'm more of 70's on 7 guy, or even 80's on 8.  Classic vinyl and classic rewind are also on my favorites list.

Too much disco on the 70s channel.  We do like the Bigband stuff on 40s Junction, and the wife has started liking the 50s, but I gravitate to the 60s.  I love Phlash Phelps in the mornings.

I graduated high school right in the middle of the 70's so it takes me back in time.  Surprising what memories pop into my head when I hear different songs.

Anti American? My impression from CNN when I was abroad was that it was basically American supremacy propaganda, depicting the rest of the world as uncivilized and catastrophic. I couldn't stand them then, I can't stand them now. Everything is "breaking news"and and the way they portray anything is just so anxiety inducing. I can never watch that channel. 

 

Fox News is outright propaganda, just without all the heart attack inducong tone.

My use of anti-American was probably not right, but I certainly don't recall CNN in that light.  Possibly, in the eyes of a non-American.  More like, spreading America's dirty laundry worldwide.

 

CNN has changed a lot since then.  Now they are total propaganda for the democratic party.  24/7 anti-Trump.  No objectivity from the talking heads.  Some of the garbage they keep regurgitating is seen by many who form their opinions with it.

I've never watched their talking heads, just the actual news. I think they deserve the name "constant negative news". 

 

I don't see the need to spend hours talking about how Trump is bad. Just play actual footage of what he's said and it becomes obvious how horrible he is.

That would be fair.  Let the viewers decide without giving an opinion.  However, they can still bias their news at a higher level by reporting some stories but not others.  Not many TV news sources left that try to just report the news, and not opine on it.  Some local channels do a decent job.
