Case stuck at NVC Chinese fiance

Hello,

Our case was approved in November. I reached out to nvc and they confirmed that they have the case and gave me a case number. I checked the status and it says “at nvc” but have not sent to Guangzhou because there is a delay. I have not received an NVC letter yet. Has anyone with Chinese fiancé had their interview scheduled recently? Just looking for advice. I’m trying to be patient but it already took 9 months for our first approval of the I29F

Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.  There are others from your embassy that are discussing this issue plus others that you will face. It's a good place to be.

No movement due to presidential proclamation 9984 ("travel ban") which has no expiration date and can only be terminated by a president. No one has been able to get an interview except the handful that were in the K1 lawsuit.

But I thought this expired December 30 2020

Common misunderstanding. PP 10014 was set to expire on 12/31/2020 but has been extended by 3 months by Trump. State Department confirmed that K1s are not subject to 10014 so it never mattered to K1 applicants.

PP 9984 has no expiration date and seems to have been forgotten since May, even though it is supposed to be "about preventing Covid", and the pandemic has changed so much that the list of countries are ridiculous now, no one thought to revise it.

Oh I also get the 129F approved in November. The same as you

Everyone is experiencing the same delays. NVC can't send your case file to the embassy until such time as the embassy is prepared to begin once again with the act of adjudication on cases. This is being done for safety reasons. Since China is said to be the epicenter of the pandemic, I don't see it opening anytime soon. You'll need to continue to follow the current news and what is being posted on the embassy's website.

Since a main Biden complaint is that Trump hasn't done enough to prevent the virus, I can see him (Biden) maintaining travel bans and creating even more restrictions.......but we, all, will just have to wait and see.

You have my sympathy, my case was stuck at NVC for 11 months after approval by USCIS in Jan 2020.  NVC will not forward your case until Guangzhou gives them the go ahead, and the consulate has made it clear they have no timeline on when that will happen.  The only cases moving forward in Guangzhou are plaintiff cases in the Milligan suit.
