I realize most people don't see themselves as victims, but many on the right are acting like they are. That includes the unfounded allegations of election fraud and trying to stop legitimate votes from being counted. That includes seeing a conspiracy of media and big tech and everyone else being against you. Using you collectively here, not personally at you.

You do realize that it is not only people on the Right that Trump appealed to right?  In fact as centrist as Trump was, there are a lot of folks in the middle that followed him.  As to the election fraud stuff, I never bought into that although I was not happy with all the last minute changes made under the purview of Covid19 including things like not verifying ballots etc., but it is what it is.  The States will need to go back and look at what was done and see if their are ways to increase confidence in the voting system, and they need to do it fast as 2022 will be here very soon.  I for one am all for going back to Voting Day with absentee only allowed for specific reasons, or for military personnel, but each State will need to do that on their own, but I think that voting requires some amount of responsibility of the voter.  I am not in favor of the Feds doing anything.

Conservative media, talking heads, and fundamentalist funders have been expertly attempting the victim card for a very long time now. Sometimes they don't do it very well, but most of the time it's very successful.

It's not a good long term strategy, but it fills a niche I guess, when you don't really have much else. It's also the big reason why someone like Trump was able to do so well.

Well it's a strategy that's been going on for quite possibly since I was young, so I think it's worked out well. They do keep pushing the envelop with how far they can take it. Think we've reached the peak it can go, but you never know.

I would think that is pretty obvious, but I suppose it is in the eye of the beholder.
