Trump lawyer accuses Democrats of manipulating evidence at impeachment trial.  The dems are using tactics which would never be allowed in court.

Personally I liked the bit when Trump's lawyer insisted that the "Calvary" typo wasn't actually a typo, that was pretty fun.

  The Republicans are not doing the same? The jurors in real court don't get to leave whenever they don't want to listen. They don't discuss strategy with the defense.

 

  These guys are damn lucky they aren't in real court right now. They soon will be and it's going to be interesting watching these strategies tried in a venue where the outcome wasn't decided ahead of time. Criminal cases don't get thrown out because the lawyers are incompetent.

Yep, it's only a matter of time.

I'd personally prefer a Nuremberg-style tribunal, but I'll settle for southern district of New York court, too.

Let me express what I believe is a very simple and calm (which is unusual for me) thought:

trump has no competent lawyers because there's no defense strategy, and that is because what he did is simply indefensible. there is nothing to defend. there's no standing. no one to come to his defense. no favorable witnesses.
