How do you get a jury and judge who are committed to a guilty verdict in a criminal trial?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

If what he did was criminal, why not pursue that instead of a purely political partisan process?  I know, the Dems want to completely destroy the GOP, and it might actually work.  Btw, see how easy it is to misspell a word.

1. The constitution only provides for impeachment for federal crimes by the President

2. The state of Georgia is waiting in the wings

Thankfully for Trump he has a jury that is committed to a not guilty verdict in an impeachment trial. That must be a real relief for him!

Simple answer encoded plainly in the Constitution: Impeachment is not a criminal trial.

OMG Sen. Mike Lee is 'bout to 'xplode! 🤪

It was really confusing until I listened to Claire McCaskill explain. I get it now. The rules don't let Lee make that kind of motion so he shouldn't be allowed to make it.

A juror cannot stand up and start telling the judge how the court is going to be run

I hear that when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the ... objection.

That's kinder than what I would say but I take a leaf out of Boiler's book and stay within the TOS.

My Bible.

Most if my alternative phrases involved metaphors citing human anatomy inserted, I decided that the facts were clear enough that literary devices were unneeded and not worth a ban.

Yes, I think your first version is the best then.
