Yes, in that it will show us all what happens when an irresponsible sitting president incites an insurrection against another branch of government on his way out the door.

It is a shame Vyshinsky is not around to lead the prosecution.

I forgot if you said before, but was he a Trump supporter? That would have not been 2020 level bad, but still not a good year.

He was a huge Trump supporter! It was definitely one of the things that added to an already bad relationship. I will note that once the race was called for Biden on November 7th, he accepted reality and moved on, according to mutual friends. He may be a you know what but he mostly lives in the real world.

Still get a laugh out of this.

My wife hasn't moved on yet. At this point, I have to use the real life version of the ignore function whenever she brings up politics. I get enough spam baloney about stolen elections on this site.

I hadn't realized until I was in this relationship that having fairly similar political philosophies is something important to me. It doesn't compensate for being garbage person otherwise. My brief foray into online dating in my 20s revealed a bunch of super woke guys who were just awful in other ways, usually sexism they wouldn't own up to. But my husband and I are generally simpatico when it comes to most topics. I know we have differing philosophies on gun ownership in our home but we worked out a compromise, and we do not see eye to eye on capital punishment and I don't see that changing too soon. But we talk a lot about what we believe in, and why we believe in it, and why our beliefs might evolve. Neither of us are completely set in our thoughts and we both think it's important to keep considering our positions to make sure they are based in our general morals in an evolving world. Some of our friends are like, you must have the most scintillating conversations at home. Um, I think we do! :D

My wife voted for Obama in 2008 so she has done a complete 180 over time. Having different political views is OK, sometimes fun, and always great for perspective. On the other hand, having someone ready to jump into the deep end of the conspiracy pool is not fun at all, and I don't think it matters in that case if they share your political views or not. You just hope they get over it.

Even Biden does not believe Trump will be convicted.

Other Media sources are covering it, CNN was just for you.

IDK. I heard CNN was fake news. Maybe they are just saying the things you want to believe?

I watched that video about Obama's startling abuses of power and it looked like CNN was riding Obama's bottom pretty hard for not wearing a flag pin and having a Marine hold an umbrella for him.
