In 2022, the Dems are going to have to run on something other than "We aren't Trump".......seems they need to change their narrative.

Next elections are 2022. 2 years of this and it will be interesting to see what happens.

All you can realistically hope (for the GOP) is to win back the house in 2022. It would take a complete collapse for the Democrats to not pick up senate seats in 2022. Like I said about Democrats in 2016, move on if you don't want to repeat. Don't whine about what happened. If you lost to someone you think was so bad, you must be worse. Accept that you need to get yourself better. The Dems almost screwed that up. The GOP probably will do the same.

The Dems did screw that up, but then they got a few gifts.

That's the spirit. 2028 will be here sooner than you think.

Hard to say, if Biden makes it through 4 years and is of sound mind at 82/83 maybe, but if it is Harris, heck not even the Democrat base wanted her, so I wonder if there would be any serious primary challengers to her.  I could certainly support Tulsi.

Arguable  he is sound of mind now, in 4 years what could happen for him to get better?

In 4 years from now Biden is a chimera with his staff spending the last year of his first term carrying around his head in a jar like in Mars Attacks.

Reagan got through governing with dementia onset. Biden can too. Medical technology is infinitely improved since the 80's. If not, I assume he would step down.

I don't know about making 2024 predictions yet before we see what they can accomplish (or not). The senate race sets up favorably for the GOP in 2024, so if they really want to accomplish something, they should look at a presidential candidate who has broader appeal. Certainly many good candidates out there for the GOP, but Trump isn't one of them. I think almost anyone will be better than Trump though. Regardless of platform, Trump had no aptitude for the job.

I don't see anyone in the current make up of the GOP having the appeal that Trump had across the Party lines.  Personally, they need to look outside of DC for a candidate IMO, but even that can be tough.  Yes, too early to make predictions for 2024.  We shall see.

Almost any GOP candidate would have more appeal outside party lines than Trump did. The bigger question is if any GOP candidate has that appeal within the party.

I think America is sick of divisive politics on both sides. We are sick of juvenile Twitter feeds, name calling, speeches being ripped up, absurd shameful supreme court nomination proceedings etc etc.

Both parties better take note. The only reason i voted for Warnock,  is because he for the most part didnt run a smear campaign and was congenial.

How do you figure?  Trump was the first GOP candidate to garner as much support from minority groups than anyone else in recent history.  I am not sure anyone from the current DC makeup of the GOP who could do that, maybe Tim Scott, but even he would be labeled mercilessly by the Dems if he were to run.  Regardless, I really think the GOP could be in a world of hurt in the near future, so I can see us moving much closer to permanent one party rule in the not to distant future.  Then the folks in DC will be even more like "rulers" instead of representatives.

Not sure DC or the Parties will get the message.  The Dems are emboldened now, and the GOP is in full capitulation mode, but we will see what happens in the next two years.  If Trump maintains any type of presence, he has the power to devastate the GOP which can only help the Dems, and honestly, there is no one in DC that is worth listening to from the GOP side to combat it.

I will tell you if State Senator Jeff Jackson runs for Senate in 2022 then that seat might go Red. He is very likeable here in NC, not to mention a actual Combat Veteran that told Schumer to pound sand in 2020.
