"Fast forward" is the operative word.

America has a racially divisive past. Byrd quit the Klan in the 1940 's and repented according to his Christian values.

The question on the table today is less about white supremacy, though DJT has played that card to the hilt, but Structural Racism.

Yep, Democrats seem to get that chance to repent.  Interesting how they don’t give others that chance.

What is the " core of the problem" from your perspective?

Power maintenance is more important than anything else.

To repent means to turn around and go the other direction. Even racists like George Wallace went in dramatically different directions later in life.

Others like Strom just slowly modified their political behavior to suit the times and survive.

I don't know who or when you saw a lack of forgiveness when someone changed their behavior and acknowledged the change. You would need to be more specific.

Others like Byrd and Biden as well.  My point is career politicians do this regularly, so why should we believe they have actually repented?  Since these are generally the ones throwing around the ‘racist’ label, I would not believe a word out of any of their mouths, and the longer they have been in DC, the worst they are.

My favorite analogy.  The Dems are like the women in the king Solomon story that wanted to cut the baby in half . There is no other logical explanation to explain why Biden is basically opening the borders and trying to grant citizenship to as much as 20 mil future democrats

They see this as a market for votes and see themselves as first movers to it. First movers to a new market quickly monopolize it, easy peasy. Perceived permanent majority.

But there's another primary reason -- misdirection. It's long been an endlessly repeated marketing magic trick that works all the time to pull attention away from the right people and redirect it toward where they want it. If people were in the right mindset of being a boss hiring someone they would see it. Instead, they're sports fans playing to their favorite team (which side of the wedge they're on) which is why these wedge issues don't get solved. Attention should be at Congress, but instead they redirect people's anger toward each other by playing their little wedge card. Think of it like those fighting arcade games and people using the same few moves. So long as people keep behaving in the same predictable way, the same moves will be mashed because why not? It works. Establishments thrive in that realm of predictability, even in a situation that unequivocally causes chaos.

Trump signed 220 E.O. in four years.  That's 55 E.O. per year.

Obama signed 276 E.O. in eight years.  That's 34.5 E.O. per year.

Who's the dictator?
