I went and bought material yesterday - raw silk in a shade not quite white and not quite cream... having it tailored by a tailor who works for a designer... it will have rice pearls on it.... oh I just cannot wait to be with my Gypsy... you know till a few days ago I had decided to wear a pink dress I had got made.. but suddenly when showing it to my coz it hit me... it was not bridal and I wanted to both look and feel the part... sooooooooooooooo then there was a major change in plan... anyway no matter when the wedding happens I will wear that whitish dress... and no matter how long it takes we will be married in a gazebo by the golf course where Paul's cousin lives (so at least there are some constants) (L)

I hope that by the time I get to Paul I would have knocked off some weight... am afraid all that tension just found me munching non-stop - added to which I put on weight thanks to oral steroids I was on for 2 months (bronchitis & asthma were the culprits)... now I will try and lose 30 kg before I get to Houston... the operative word being try

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

Good luck! I went to try on my wedding dress for the first time the other day and was so scared it would be too small, it was actually too big! The seamstress wants to reaaallyy take it in tight though and I'm so afraid to eat because if I gain an ounce it won't fit anymore!

There is no way that I can have it too tight - am severely asthmatic and cannot afford to have it tight
