Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). An official NBI letter of explanation is required for

any notations of “No Criminal Record,” “No Criminal Conviction,” “No Pending Criminal Case,” or “With

Derogatory Record.” For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is considered valid only for a year.

Police and Barangay Clearances are good for a year and so does the NBI clearance. But for use in the Philippines, sometimes they want the Police and Barangay clearances to be less than 6 months.

I get my police clearance and barangay clearance this April but we filed our petition April 12 so it might take several months before my interview. Do I need to get another one?

Police and Barangay Clearances are good for a year and so does the NBI clearance. But for use in the Philippines, sometimes they want the Police and Barangay clearances to be less than 6 months.

You don't need to get police clearance before filing the petition, you need to get them for interview, most wait until receiving the first packet from the Embassy before doing this.

I thought one of the requirements needed for interview are those 2....I get it early...too bad....
