Mothers who think their kids are

I completely agree with you. There're a lot of mothers, specially young ones with their first child, that their child becomes everything, it's the king/queen of the world, and the rest doesn't matter or exist anymore.

To be honest I am sick of those types of parents. Should not even call them parents. I came across someone like that the other day and thought I would stir her up as was like, "does your kid have down syndrome because he looks a little u know". She was like "NO she does not!" has not spoken to me since. What a dam shame I tell u..

she was OFFENDED!!! so i guess its ok to drown another kid bc your kid is "drowning". My first question was, why were you not WITH your 4 yr old, its a public pool, you dont leave a 4 yr old by themselves.

Anyway thats my thoughts for the day

She should take a good hard look in the mirror and ask herself where and who is the father. Second of all, why the hell am I acting all tough while living with my parents..

As someone with a relative with Down Syndrome I think it's very offensive to use that as an insult, specially because Down Syndrome doesn't equal retard, it's a genetic disorder where they're born with an extra chromosome, and I've known many Down Syndrome children way smarter than lots of people considered ''normal''

Thank you Nessa. Although I do understand the thought process behind this thread and its subsequent posts, to use DS or any other disability in the form of an insult is...well...rather crass. Any one of you want to substitute for me one day in the SPED department? Might open your eyes...and your hearts.
