I passed my citizenship interview early December 2020. A couple days later I got case update saying I was scheduled to take Oath in Plano, TX on Jan 12, 2021. However, I then received another notice from USCIS on Christmas indicating that my Oath Ceremony has been cancelled due to health crisis issue. Anyone in here experienced the same cancellation? Have you been rescheduled again? Please share!

Thank you! That’s really helpful. I was not too worried. I have an oversea trip planned so I was hopeful that I can get this whole process behind before the whole trip.

My husband had his interview in March 2020. He passed. Has been waiting for his oath ceremony for almost a year 😂

Wow. That is shocking to wait so long. Which field office did he file? Dallas?

Also, asking for name change can cause months delay for oath.

have anyone in Dallas received their reschedule Oath date yet? I am seeing more and more cases of Covid-19 so might not be possible at the moment.

If this trip is with anticipation of getting your oath (US passport and all), I would seriously consider not booking it, because unfortunately I have seen some people wait for a reschedule and it took just a month, but in certain cases (like one poster pointed) it took months, maybe a year. Especially now with COVID it can get crazier. The issue also is that a lot of these oath ceremonies occur maybe only 3 or four times a month. Some places it's every specific day of the week (i.e Thursday or Tuesdays), so if a bunch of people are rescheduled they have to try and schedule them in another already scheduled group, but since with COVID space is limited, it could take longer.

If the trip is to be made on another passport just be mindful that at the oath ceremony on the letter you received you have to mention if you have traveled since the interview. Depending on the country they may ask questions. Plus the way countries are issuing restrictions now on travel quarantines, and closing of borders to people coming from certain countries, the list changing everyday... if you miss a rescheduled appointment who knows how much longer you would have to wait again after that.

I have the same situation like you, i passed my interview in Dec 24 and got my ceremony scheduled on Jan 12  in Plano event centre then few days later received another notice that it has been canceled them another notice clarify the reason that it is due to covid and since then my status says Oath ceremony will be schudled and until now i still did not receive the new date . Tried to reach out to USCIS but they don’t tell anything other than what we know so far so it was unhelpful and don’t know when i be scheduled again

so you are not a lone and i saw another guy on twitter same like us scheduled for same day in same place.
