Outgoing flights PCR required?

Has anyone departed Philippines recently? I am trying to find out if PCR will be required at the airport. I have a delta (Korean air) flight scheduled with layover in Korea. Their site says no PCR required if layover is less than 6 hours. Just looking for others experiences when leaving.

I would call the airline. It's usually an airline requirement.

Yep I sent them a message and that’s what they told us, but Korean embassy has contradicting information so I am looking for others experience.

Oh thank you! I emailed them a few days ago and they knew nothing about it

Suggest you bring a printout of the notice from the embassy website and the reply from the airline in case the guards at the airport aren't privy.

No PCR required for flights through Japan, Korea if transiting.  No PCR test for flights to the US, although NY may require you get one after arrival but no one is checking in on you.  Flights through UAE require a PCR test (even for transiting) and I believe Qatar but need to check this.  Flights through Turkey no PCR if transiting.

Everything is subject to change.  Most changes to requirements usually occur around the middle and the end of the month.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

My wife flew out of Manila a month ago on Emirates Air less than a month ago.  PCR was required for leaving airport and boarding flight in Manila.  No where else did anyone look at PCR Covid testing.  As usual the problems are with policy in the Philippines and have no impact any where else.  PCR testing was about $200.00 USD and may well be worth it for the peace of mind that you will have and possibly may need.

Not a Philippine policy problem but an airline or end destination policy.

Exactly, if destination or transiting country requires it, most likely will be done at point of original departure.  Updates on UAE and Qatar are below (for transiting purposes)

UAE

Regardless of departure countries, If you are transiting in Dubai, you will not be required to present a COVID-19 PCR test certificate unless it is required in the country of departure or your final destination. However, passengers who transit via Dubai and have booked a hotel outside the airport must present a valid negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 96 hours before departure.

QATAR

Any flight from the Philippines will need a PCR test within 96 hours from flight departure.

This is as of today, subject to change.

I just flew out of NAIA yesterday to ICN and onto US an I was not required to have any results. Obvisouly this will change soon as the US as of Jan 23 will require all people coming into the US to have a negative PCR test within 3 days. Which is going to be pretty hard to do.
